Are Vax and Unvax differentiated on Celebrity now that everyone can cruise?

I am traveling with a group in NOV and just received a notice from Celebrity for dining which stated that vax and unvax guests are seated in different locations in the dining room.  Has anyone run into this onboard now that Celebrity is allowing all passengers to sail?  Is the theater area for shows designated seating for vax and unvax also?  Do your room cards have vaccination status on them or do guests wear wrist bands?  I would appreciate any input from anyone that has recently sailed.  Thank you!

No.    It's kinda like at home when you go to a store there is no one wearing a giant Scarlet Letter.

But according to OP's letter they are separating out guests.  What would be their method for doing this?  And if they aren't doing it, then why the letter?  Just my shower musings...

This is one of those "I'll believe it when I see it" moments for me. I can't even think of the rationale for doing this, let alone a method.

Great question..... I can't imagine how they would do that.    Prior to allowing all unvaxed aboard we were on a number of sailings with unVaxed kids --   For those supposedly the kids had colored wrist bands but of course they disappeared after a day or two.    The only restriction I saw was the parents and they children could not leave the ship in I believe all of the ports.  Their cards were coded so would alert the security.

Maybe an Unvax member can enlighten us when they cruise.

If this is true, IMO, X would probably be seating groups of guests sailing together at the same table, regardless of Vaccination status. All other guests would be separated accordingly.

But considering how close the dining room tables are, in reality, I don’t know what  X thinks separating guests will accomplish.

The only way they can truly do this is if the crew have an easy way of knowing who is vaccinated and who is not.  When Royal restarted last year, vaccinated individuals were given a wristband and couldn't enter vaccinated areas without their wristband.  I can't imagine we are going back to that.

Just a question....

how effective Now are the original 2 shots we received when the vaccinations first came out early in 2021?

We have followed up with all of our additional boosters, but I know there are people who only got the first two shots.

As I understand it,  to board the ship today we just have to present our Vaccination Card.  There may not be any follow up boosters on it.

So, if the original 2 shots are still effective, why do we need boosters?  and if the original vac's aren't still effective, then maybe those without boosters should be considered UnVac'd!

Just asking......😟

So,  since I was appalled at this email from Celebrity, I wondered if other areas of the ships (shows, casinos, etc) are separated for vax or unvax guests.  I do appreciate any input from anyone that has recently sailed to confirm this.  Thank you again.

I'm surprised at this,  I mean if you are traveling together what's even the point of separating at dining?

First, I am not doubting this at all.  But I have a question:  when did you book and when did you receive this email?  That's going to make a difference.

Hovank said  'just received this email' in the OP...

I did see that.  I also know some people use "just" many times when they didn't mean that exactly.  But if this was just received for a November cruise, we won't booking.  The whole reason for us even booking specifically with X was to spend time with our friends who live in another part of the country.

@hovank I’m not sure anyone was doubting you received such an e-mails. The doubts were about whether Celebrity was actually following such a policy.

Although, I can see how a Maitre’D could assign tables like they describe (although it sounds like a nightmare), there isn’t a way for the average crew member (that I’m aware of) in the theater or other venues will know your vaccination status. It’s not printed on your seapass and I haven’t heard of them suddenly requiring wristbands or anything.

I can't find this published on Celebrity's website.  Our cruise is in March but I can tell you we wouldn't have booked if this policy was on the site because the whole point of traveling with our friends was to travel with our friends.  Deposit is nonrefundable.  Time to get my TA involved, I guess.

The  notice is addressed to Travel Partners and is a form for TAs to complete did  you get this from your TA or direct from Celebrity?

This reads like it may from been from  the restart when the number of unvaccinated were primarily  children.

Have you asked your TA about this, or contacted Celebrity?

Maybe one of our ever helpful and knowledgeable  TAs who are on these boards can shed some light on this.
