Super Bowl party onboard ?

 Share

Recommended Posts

We’ve been on a couple of cruisers during Super Bowl. The game was shown in several venues (of course depends on the ship) and there were some complementary food.

Last year we were on harmony on superbowl sunday , and the game was shown in the aqua theater. The  food was not complementary.  They were selling a couple of items from the playmakers menu.

The ship gets a satellite feed, and does not include any of the commercials.

Don't know about super bowl but I would assume so, at least if you're on an Oasis class ship. They were playing a big World Cup game on the aqua theater screens on Symphony on thanksgiving day and it was a blast!!

The Brazilians onboard brought drums and noisemakers and horns and flags and a TON of energy. It felt like being at the game in person. So much fun.

You had to pay for a table???

If you want to avoid paying for a table cruise in November when they might be showing the CFL's Grey Cup. 🏈 🏆 The place will be practically empty. 😁

On the Mariner earlier this year they had it showing in several venues including Studio B (Ice Rink). There was no food offered unless you wanted to purchase it.

They were however offering a "Special deal" to get a seat/table in "Playmakers". I think it around $50.00 p.p. and included food, not drinks. However if you had a drink package it could be used there as well.

We were sequestered to our rooms and they made us watch the game on our TV's. They did allow us to take anything from the minibar (which was still a thing in 2016) and they even brought around some snacks late in the 4th quarter. We didn't have to make reservations for this.
