3 days until cruise and still no balcony assignment?

This is our 25th cruise with Carnival, and even with TBA rooms, we’ve always found out our room assignment at least a week before sailing.  I called Carnival today and they told me that they must send/verify all final names/info to the ships at least 2 days prior to sailing so she’s not sure why we haven’t received our room number yet.  It’s really no big deal to us, but just wondered why they wait sometimes to assign a cabin?  I’ve seen some say they don’t find out till boarding.  That’s crazy it takes that long, but I guess wherever we are, at least we are onboard. 😂😂😂😂

the manifest probably does not require room numbers...just souls on board.  With that, the upsell fairy is probably hard at work trying to get some additional $$ for CCL before they assign remaining cabins.

Probably…the woman did tell me all standard balconies were sold out, so maybe I WILL be upgraded to a broom closet with a bigger balcony! 😂

I'd be losing my mind

Then you probably shouldn't be booking a TBA room, then. 🙂

There is always the risk that you won't be assigned a cabin until the very last minute.

It is suspenseful. I'm waiting now on my GTD assignment and I cruise in 4 days.

Free Casino Promo balcony room…I didn’t choose TBA.  They did.  You’d be a lunatic to turn that down. 😂🙄

I would spend even less time worrying about a free room - the worst cabin on the ship is still better than staying home! 😁
