I can’t believe it!  I emailed my shareholder OBC form this afternoon and it showed up on my booking within 30 minutes…they even sent me a new booking confirmation with the OBC line itemized…could Princess be upping their customer service?

I sent a request a week ago Sunday and it was processed Monday morning.  I too received a booking confirmation right after that and I have to admit it freaked me out a little because this is a casino cruise.  And I had finally gotten everything fixed on it.  Happy to see that it was just the extra OBC that generated the new booking confirmation.

I would hazard a guess that it would be very easy to train new personnel to perform these processes in a fairly short period of time.  Especially compared to the training that would be required for a phone/chat rep who would have to cover a wide gamut of topics to be considered "trained".  But I agree...small steps add up!

Yeah, mine was recently faxed,  and processed in under 24 hours.

Mailed my request at 2:02.  Got confirmation that it was credited to my 2 cruises at 2:20.

Funny thing is that I got an e-mail at 2:05 acknowledging receipt that said it might take up to 21 days to receive credit.  In reality more like 21 minutes.

Here is the form I have used for my last four cruises.

ShareholderBenefitRequestForm.pdf 90.81 kB · 13 downloads

If you are emailing the information, a form slows down the process as it one more attachment that needs to be opened.

Put the requested information in the body of the email along with the attachment showing the proof of ownership. Indicate on the subject line that is a shareholder benefit request and the date of sailing.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just sent an email for 2 cruises at 2:15 pm and both cruises had the OBC applied at 2:24 pm so it took only 9 minutes. I received a confirmation notice for each cruise. This is for 2 cruises in November. Now that’s great service IMHO!!!

If I booked a cruise for May 20th, would submitting this now be too late since they said all reservation has to be made by Feb 28, 2023?

You can submit your request for shareholder OBC now….it’s not too late.

Yes, was pleasantly surprised that my email request was completed within hours along with an updated travel document.  Great job Princess cruises!

My experience is that they issue the credit quickly (within hours), but I've never received any kind of acknowledgement that the credit had been issued.

Sent mine out on  Saturday night before Easter. Received the auto reply it had been received. Not sure when it hit my account, but is there as of Tuesday (3 days later). Was not notified it was coming, but was not expecting notification. First time submitting for me, was pleasantly surprised how quick and easy it was.

Yes, I faxed mine in this morning and by the time I thought to check on it early afternoon, it was already applied.
