All of the “hot tubs” on the Summit are now just whirlpools, minimal heat.

I don’t know why my pictures post upside down!

Oceania Insignia.  The lobster looks amazing but I don’t groove with veal. Oceania claims to spend the highest dollar per passenger for food.

You'll have plenty of other choices besides veal. I had a difficult time choosing between different things on the menu because so much sounded good.

If you’re a foodie try Regent.  Outstanding specialty restaurants (included in fare) and special dining experiences (champagne brunch, caviar tasting, etc).  The wine pairing dinner (per our son) was for a feebut worth every $$.  Service throughout the ship was en pointe.

Certainly tagging along with you on this journey as we're Sapphire status with NCL and trying Celebrity for the first time in November. I'm sure there's more similarities between the 2 lines than differences, but curious to hear your thoughts as you go.

Besides trivia - what else is going on around the ship? That's one of our biggest concerns as there's only so much trivia we can do before getting bored...

We’ve done Regent three times and it was excellent!!  My favorite luxury though is Crystal.  I’m excited to see how the new Crystal is when it returns.

What are the "games" they are playing at night after the shows?

The Rendezvous Lounge always used to have games.

Last night, two games.  One was yes or no at 8pm but we had our dinner in Tuscan Grille.  At 10:15, Majority Rules…spoiler alert…we won!!!

In light of the news of an outbreak of COVID and Norovirus from the Summit May 15 sailing what are the current procedures in the buffet and other areas on the ship?

There is hand sanitizer bottles in cabin, a table full to take some ashore, no self service in buffet.
The captain mentioned “the virus” in his daily briefings and stressed hand washing.  He did not mention Covid or noro specifically although it seems more noro vibes.
My cruise in February has lots of coughing by day four and I haven’t been noticing it this time.

We are Sapphire as well with NCL. The Summit gives a Spirit or Jewel class vibe.  I love that the game shows are in a proper lounge.  I hate the atrium for entertainment. During the sea days, there are more activities than trivia.  Golf putting, archery, pickle ball, arts and crafts, music by the pool.  The live music is going later than it did on Encore in February. The parties at night are fun if you like to dance.  The Motown one started as a show then opened up to a party.

For anyone getting on Sunday, don't assume anything if there is "lots of coughing" - especially from people who live in the tri-state area or who came in early. We've been hit super hard with the smoke from Canada. It's looking better today so far, but residual coughing remains.

I’m hoping it’s better by Sunday when we arrive!  The pics my husband sent early in the week were crazy!  The weather might not have been great in Bermuda but the air has been good!

It should be. Today is a lot better so far. I know NYRR is going ahead with their women's 10K on Saturday since in consultation with experts it is expected to continue to improve.

Wednesday was INSANE! We had remote professional development yesterday (kids were already scheduled to be out), and they made today remote in an abundance of caution. It was really creepy watching buildings just disappear from view and it smelled like a giant camp fire.

Enjoyed last night in Tuscan Grille but we both enjoy Blu more.  I’m not sure I would go every cruise but it was nice.
Mr B the maitre’d was awesome.  Is he old school Celebrity?

Tonight’s meal was more a miss than a hit. We had to wait over 40 minutes for a table. We didn’t have our usual team and missed them.  We waited 20 minutes to order and the maitre’d took the order.  Never had wine refill or water.  Left before dessert.  So service not great.
Food wasn’t the best,  crab cake just ok, tried escargot from MDR and loved, Blu Caesar was good (brought the one from MDR and had to exchange). Lobster was ok but very salty. The rice was disgusting and tasted like iodine.

Thank you for the reviews. This is our first time on the Summit and it is very helpful. Do they leave an activity sheet showing next day events in your room each night? Or is this all on the app?

Agree 100%.   They are doing their best to ensure passengers wash their hands.  Although there are a few who don’t understand that the buffet is no longer self serve

Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate seeing the Daily. I'll be on a short holiday  cruise on the Summit in December. Did the same last year and thought the ship itself wasn't in the best shape. I too sail with NCL and seems those ships are better cared for than the Summit. Any comments on the ship condition? This ship and these cruises are my only Celebrity experiences. It's a short cruise and I have a casino deal and I liked the experience in general so happy to return.

There’s some rusty spots. My balcony and chairs aren’t great.  Bottom drawer in cabin broken. Saw a part of a balcony awning break on the book of face group.
Public areas are beautiful.  I’ve seen no problems.

Did the cooking class today, not a big hit for us.  You make a ribeye at to eat at 10:30am. Well you season it, place on grill, flip when chef says, remove when he says and mine was still mostly rare.  It wasn’t too great tasting and my daughter’s wasn’t the best quality.  We ate a few bites and left.  Cute aprons though.  For the price I can’t say I’d recommend this activity.

I sure hope no one was hurt by the awning! The rust on the balcony is going to happen. They just need a maintenance program to keep up with it. I was disappointed with the basketball court last time. Clear rust spot on the court floor, torn net and woeful ball. Not a great Day 1 on Celebrity experience. However, to your point most other areas are just fine. I've booked an Oceanview cabin time, so no balcony worries for me, lol.
