That’s why it goes to a pricing specialist. Don’t get stuck on he-got-that-so-I-should-too. It doesn’t work that way. The cabin category is now higher then what I paid for. Not sure what are the other factors. Far as I know it didn't go to a pricing specialist. I was just wondering why everyone doesn't receive the same OBC. Some get $10K cruises for free 8 months in advance, and some pay top dollar. That's much more of a big deal then the loss of $100 in my mind.

Unfortunately for same reason everyone w/same booking rate codes cannot add HIA - there is a lack of consistency with HAL adding/modifying bookings. Just saying... ebtrip Posted July 6, 2023 #31 Share Posted July 6, 2023 I just added Club Orange to my booking for March on the Koningsdam. For less than $300 for both of us I received an upgrade to VA cabin with extended balcony, from a VF guar. Haven’t been on HAL since they added the CO. Thanks to all your posts we’ll try it, since we always travel on Celebrity in Aqua to eat in Blu.

Would you mind sharing your March dates? By the way I do not think VF is the cheapest verandah... Book the cheapest verandah then upgrade using CO to a "better" verandah. Thanks Peter We’re on the March 23 cruise. I originally booked an unobstructed cabin, with the casino rate. I was unaware of the CO, since I haven’t been on HAL in a while. Could not go to a lower category since my rate was much lower now.

If CO is available (not sold out) you can ask them to reference it back to your original booking then add CO and upgrade. Sometimes they'll do it, sometimes they won't. I’m ok with the cost as when I made a fake booking and price was a thousand more. Thx for your info. oceanbill457 Posted July 7, 2023 #36 Share Posted July 7, 2023 SFO Peter My TA called and got an agent out of country. He couldn't get a straight answer on booking Club Orange. After reading a post on CC. I called the availability desk at 1 888 628 8107 and got a very helpful gentleman. I now have Club Orange on Koningsdam. Worth a try. 2

Among the 13 (yes) numbers I have on my phone for HAL, I have that number as the "upsell" number. What is it for "availability"? Just like it sounds, I guess.

mcrcruiser Posted July 8, 2023 #41 Share Posted July 8, 2023 Actually HAL sold the 14 day cruise as one booking but in reality it is 2 bookings B2B .We booked it as one cruise . So how can we be guaranteed to get Club Orange in both led of the cruise & will HAL add it now .The cruise is not until Oct 2024 ? TIA

It is on the Koningsdam. I added Club Orange at the time of booking, which I did through calling HAL, and paid the $15/day/pax for each of the 14 days of the total cruise (as you know, it is $25/day for a 7-day cruise). My booking confirmation shows the full 14-day cruise and has the Club Orange Pass shown under the Special Services section (see attached). To me, this confirms that I have Club Orange for all 14 days. If you haven't purchased Club Orange yet, you will be asked to pay when you do add it and that payment should be $15x14=$210/pax. They will send you a new booking confirmation at that time with Club Orange Pass shown under the Special Services section. NCTribeFan Posted July 8, 2023 #47 Share Posted July 8, 2023 Depends on if you have 2 booking numbers. I've done B2B that were booked and treated as one sailing (so one booking number and pay for extras once) and I've done them that were booked as two separate bookings and had to add on perks separately and pay separately. So, as with so many things, it depends.

Rare POA1 Posted July 8, 2023 #49 Share Posted July 8, 2023 A lot of cruises that look like back to back or are also sold in "pieces" as well as "whole" are Collector's cruises. A lot of time the voyage code ends in an A. If you have one booking confirmation # and not two, you fall into that magical space where the Club Orange for 14 days is less than for 10 days. If you really booked it as 2 separate cruises, you probably paid more than the Collector's would have cost and you will have to (a) hope you can get CO for both cruises, and (b) pay 14 x $25 or $350 vs. 14 x $15 or $140.
