Are the Casinos still smoking on Carnival?

Booked later this year on Mardi Gras, just wondering if they still allow smoking in the Casino?  I am not a smoker and really hate the smell on my clothes.  I am also not a big gambler, but I do like to donate a few bucks each cruise. LOL.  Last year on RCCL it was horrible, smokers were using the casino as a smoking area.  You could not get away from it.  Needless to say I did not donate much on that cruise.  That is one thing that I really like about Celebrity, they really control where the smokers can hang out and smoke.  It is not the casino.  Now smokers don't flame me, I know you want to enjoy your cruise too, but it is annoying to smell it and it give me a headache sometimes.

Carnival only allows smoking while actively gambling in the smoking casino, can no longer sit at the bar and smoke. Infact some bars were removed from casinos I don't remember which class ships that was. Dream class ships have a no smoking casino on deck 4 but have no craps table.

You will enjoy the setup of the casino on the Mardi Gras.  Most of the MG casino is non-smoking, including the host stand and the cage.  The smokers are in a smaller room, which is adjacent to the casino bar.  Because of the setup, there is much less smoke in the main casino.  And due to the close proximity, both smokers and non can hear the names being drawn to participate in casino games.  I find this a huge improvement over the older ships.

Is this a new development?  We were on the Breeze late 2019 just before quanatine and smoking in the casino was alive and well. 🤢

They turned the conference rooms on Deck four into non smoking casinos on the Dream class ships right about the time they resumed cruising in 2021. The Main Casino is still smoking.

For good or bad they still allow smoking in the casino, it's just that as Rudyard said they added a non-smoking casino annex to the ships during the restart.

does Carnival allow cigar smoking in the casino, or is it cigarettes only?

only tobacco cigarettes indoors. Tobacco Cigars including little cigars and cigarillos outdoors only.

That's the thing that really chaps my ass. Who decides what nasty smells we get? What about a pipe? Pipe tobacco actually isn't offensive to most.

I miss the cigar lounges in the back of the old fantasy class ships. Many hours playing poker back there...

To OP, the Excel Casino is great, no smoking on the larger side and they DO ENFORCE it. Seen them run the smokers off quickly!

Nope and not even allowed where most cigarette smoking is, outdoor only. A shame really, they could make some cash off cigars.

yeah.  I've become accustomed to a nice whisky bar and cigar lounge while cruising.  This, along with the 15 drink limit, has me re-thinking trying a new cruise line

this is a shame.  I have a great time and meet wonderful people in the cigar lounges on NCL.

You can smoke all the cigars you want at the open deck smoking area. There are roaming bar waiters in that area and always people there to shoot the breeze with

NCL.  I've taken all my cruises with them so far, so I have to remember that different lines offer different things.  I have become very fond of my after dinner smoke and Macallan in the cigar lounge.  Especially if there is a football or basketball game on the TV

Pride casino in march, casino was smoking, but they had non smoking tables.  That was a good compromise so i didn't have to sit directly next to the smoker with his cigarette in my face.  I can deal with the general smokiness but not the direct smoke in my face.  Also since they banned smoking at the bar, the casinos seem overall less smokey, which makes sense.

Do you know if the conference rooms on Vista class ships were turned into non smoking casinos?
