Where are football games shown onboard?

Looking at a quick getaway on Silhouette in January but DH is concerned about seeing the Sunday football games.  Assuming they are shown but looking to confirm and find out where, especially during the playoffs.  Know we can get internet and stream but hoping they are shown onboard.

Depending on the feed where the ship is located.  If in the Caribbean you should get some games but not all.   

 

it may be on the TV in your cabin

The Social Craft bar.  
 

If it is the SB it is usually in the theater and maybe the large screen on the pool deck

 

We tried streaming football games on our IPads.  It doesn’t work.   It keeps breaking up.  
 

If the games are that important then you should stay home.   I use to think that football was the most important thing at the time.  Missed a lot to watch them.  Now it is really doesn’t matter.  It is just entertainment.   I knew about every team, who won what and etc.   Today even though I watched the games I don’t remember who won the last SB or who played in it.    There is more to life.  🤗

 

Tell you husband to enjoy the cruise that he paid for and not worry about watching a game. The out will be what it is and 10 year from now it won’t matter

I don't think your husband will be disappointed.  They  will have Football games on in your stateroom, The Casio Bar - (4 or 5 screens and often different games on different channels)   Craft Social also have multiple screens.  

 

I'm not sure which games will be broadcast. 

 

Unlike some reports above I often stream using the Premium Internet and never had a problem.    I understand that is not the case for the Classic Internet.

We watched the Super Bowl last year while having dinner in the Lawn Grill.

Forgot about the lawn club.    We were on during the world cup and they broadcast games almost 24 hours a day.  Sometime you would see people out there with blankets to stay warm.

The big screen on the pool deck is the best IMHO if the weather is nice.

Craft Social has lots of screens all showing sport.

I just watched Thursday night football the other day on the lawn club screen. 
 

The prime time games all should be shown. If its a regular Sunday morning/afternoon game select ones are on the special reserved channels on the stateroom tv. Those will also be broadcast at certain bars, lawn club tv, etc.

Thank you all, it's not that he will sit and watch from morning till night but wants a place to pop in for a bit to catch up on the games.  Sounds like he will be fine.

This isn't much different with land-based places but if he wants to get a good seat ensure he arrives early as the issue isn't always finding an open seat but rather finding an open seat with a view of a TV showing the game you want to watch

An easy way to access those channels, go to channel one and press the channel down button

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. 

 

I generally ignore those that think we should all be robots and enjoy our vacation in the same way.   It's his vacation also and if he wants to watch football he will find many liked mind people on the ship.

Just adding that they don't show ALL games. Our experience has been that during regular season they show the Sunday night games and either the 'best' games (i.e., the highest rated teams) or for college football, the teams that are most affiliated with the area you're sailing from (west coast teams for west coast departures).

I have watched many football games while maximizing my enjoyment of my cruise vacay.  I especially enjoy talking to the wonderful crew where I am watching the game and enjoying a beverage or two with my wonderful hubby!  Geaux Saints!!  All the above recommendations for locations are great.
