Thanks for this info.  I guess my question is slightly nuanced.  If non-suite, low level (NSLL) Pinns have been exclusively banned from the CK (in the “Top 30” situation) where does that leave the JS ?  As a NSLL Pinn I cannot even request CK rezzies in this situation (as I understand it).  I’m out.  Period.  Does that mean that JS are also out.  Period ? Pat, I realize that you don’t know since you haven’t had to deal with this situation.  Just wondering if anyone else knows the answer.

Not all cruises have a Pinnacle count that requires excluding some Pinnacles.  It's not an assumption you need to make.

How does all this change affect access for embarkation day lunch (and other days for breakfast and lunch, and an odd dinner perhaps) if I am bringing a family of 10 in the Royal Loft and both Star Lofts on Harmony?

Sounds like we may have zero access to SL and CK due to non-suite pinnacle members having reserved, or JS?

You and your family in Royal/Star lofts will have full access and priority over other groups. Why will you think that others in lower category accommodations, or those not in a suite would have priority?
No worries. Enjoy your cruise.

From videos and pictures, it looks like there are shady areas. Is that correct?  I like to sit on my own balcony when it's shady but it would be nice to have a bar and to meet people.

Yes, there are shady areas.  Funny thing is those are more popular than the sunny ones.  Buck is just a confirmed "sun lizard".  😉

And we wonder why there's some angst in the C&A society....

Really isn't anything to do with C&A for myself.   Though I will get the rotten tomatoes tossed at me...again...or the flames, but I am actually in the camp that believes the Suites Lounge should be for suites.  Cut and dried...no politics, no Pinnacle bashing.   Then...If you are in there...you are in a suite along with all the other suite's pax.

I also enjoy the Pinnacle "lounge" which is really an event in a section of a common lounge...but is a good alternative.   And the newly named "CL"...funny how that is actually back again...is great for coffee and C&A members, Diamond and up.  Yeah, sometimes Diamonds may be restricted for a couple of hours, but vouchers are readily available.

With the voucher program, IMHO there is no reason not to enjoy the interesting variety of bars and lounges around the ship.  We always used to hang out in the C&A lounges, but have found we were

missing the fun of "bar hopping" around the ship.    But that is just me...and it works for us.

Now DO realize I did not create this situation, only saw the writing on the wall.  Too many higher up C&A members as the population starting turning "more gray".   The C&A society had to change along the way, only due to the huge numbers on board now.  Something had to give...and so it goes.

First time on RCL, so unsure. However, having read this forum, made for my inquiry. TY

To me, IMHO...if non-suite Pinnies are out...so should JS pax.

OK...wait...let me adjust my flame suite here..ahhh...OK, fire away JS pax.

After all...neither the JS pax nor the non-suite Pinnacles are in a full suite.  But alas...I don't make the rules. 😉

Oh yeah, I am going to get burned here.  That's OK...it's almost happy hour and I can put out the flames.  😄

And you do not have an opinion about the casino masters, sailing in inside/outside/balconies with top priority in suite lounge and CK, priority way above all Pins and JSs?

We don't gamble...have no idea how that works.

Kbonner...I am not responding for island lady...but I for one, would love to know about casino masters. Politely asking, we don't gamble either.

We only recently experienced that "casino masters get top priority way above all Pins"...there were 81 casino masters onboard our recent TA. Thank you.

Masters spend a LOT of money in the Casino, as do those that book suites. Royal is looking at the bottom line, as they should, in order to keep "afloat"!

Agreed

And here is the math

Those 81 masters on that TA

played through $40,500,000.00 in a year in Royal Caribbean casinos

Not on one cruise, but over the year, but still that’s an accountants dream of easy revenue

And people wonder why they trump pinnacles sailing in inside cabins 🤣😂🤣

Nancy

Nice!  Congrats on your spending.  🙂

You do realize there is no Coastal Kitchen on the World Cruise right?

How about let's get back to the actual subject of this thread?

Who said anything about CK  on Serenade 🤪

I know Serenade is an old rust bucket according to folk on the shakedown and she is being touched up on the cheap for you folk doing parts of the WC

Bonsai3 asked a question about Masters

Maybe you should ask them to stay on track

Nancy 🍹

And I know you 🍯 😉

OK...my bad again.   I was looking at the title of this thread.  I guess I must have missed something.

I am also assuming you are not on the WC.   Sorry I won't have the pleasure of meeting you.

I think shady areas are popular because of people not wanting to develop skin cancer.  My father had some areas removed from early detected skin cancer and I am just as fair as he was.  So I sit in the shade.

Same with me.  The sun is not my friend.  😞   Been cut on 4 times...I would like to have that practice stop.  😉  I cringe each time I go to see my Dermo annually.

The dermatologist hasn't found anything yet but I'm trying to be very careful.  I got sun poisoning about 40 years ago and I wonder if something will show up now.

We're from the iodine and baby oil.

This is our experience on the Anthem this week.  They specifically told us(we are in a JS) that if we are not going to eat at the CK, to let them know so that a Pinnacle passenger could take our place.

What was your experience as a JS guest in reserving dinners in the CK during your cruise?

It wasn’t a problem at all.  We went to CK right after boarding and they asked if we wanted to reserve it for each night, we told them “yes”, but we later cancelled a few.  We were told to cancel if we weren’t going to attend, so that they could give our spot to a Pinnacle member.

Thanks for your response.  I've never eaten in the CK and found some of the night's menus to look  more appealing than other nights (subjectively, of course).  How did you find the CK food overall when compared to the MDR?  We are sailing the Anthem in a JS in March 2024.

Thanks,

Teddie
