Kamfish642 Posted January 4 #1 Share Posted January 4 We are book on the Accent in September 2024, and I was looking for first impressions of people who have sailed on vessel. We have only sailed on Celebrity once back in 2002 on the Infinity. We truly enjoyed the Infinity, but I'm sure Accent is a much larger vessel and Celebrity cruises have evolved significantly since 2002.
Rare PTC DAWG Posted January 4 #2 Share Posted January 4 There a few here, mostly favorable. More reviews on YouTube that really seem to be very favorable. I am booked on the Jan 21 cruise this month...I'll know more then. Not my first E Class tough, I thoroughly enjoyed my Apex cruise last year. 1
jelayne Posted January 4 #3 Share Posted January 4 We have done 7 cruises on E class ships and love them. We are on the same sailing as @PTC DAWG and expect that the Ascent will be even better than the earlier E class ships.
mauimary Posted January 4 #4 Share Posted January 4 We have done three sailings on the Beyond. Two in SV and one in an IV. We always love the SV. To our surprise we even enjoyed the IV on a transatlantic last April. We love the Beyond. We too are on the Ascent the same cruise with PTCDAWG & Jelayne. I know putting everything into a new ship is important, but hopefully not at the cost of other ships. I also have her booked, so totally understand the excitement of a new ship. My DH. and I have also done all the E-class ships except Ascent, enjoying the ships in this category too.
LadyLion_AP Posted January 5 #6 Share Posted January 5 My family sailed on the Dec. 17th sailing of Ascent and LOVED it! We sailed Apex in 2022. Also loved it! Some of the enhancements on Ascent include improvement with the bar experience (including a 360 degree Martini Bar and the World Class Bar), an improved dining experience (Le Voyage & the enclosing of the Rooftop Garden Grill) to name a few! It is a truly beautiful ship. We also thoroughly enjoyed the show "Bridges". I cannot wait to sail her again. We are also eyeing the next iteration, Xcel for 2025.

Have sailed Eclass (all EXCEPT Ascent) 5x in the last 2 1/2 years. We LOVE Eclass! We fell in love w/ Celebrity when we first tried it on the Constellation 10 yrs ago. Eclass is a class above M & S class ships. Beautiful ships & cabins, fantastic shows, elevated specialty dining (Eden, Le Voyage, Chef's Table) & 4 MDRs lend to a more intimate dining experience.
Rare Lady Arwen Posted January 5 #8 Share Posted January 5 Currently on Ascent and loving every single minute! Beautiful ship, good food, great service. Love the different themed MDRs. So happy with the nonsmoking casino…perfection! 5
jayoldschool Posted January 5 #9 Share Posted January 5 I was on the Dec 24th sailing. It was amazing. Honestly, I don't have a bad thing to say. From the ship to the service, it was top notch. 2
denby Posted January 5 #10 Share Posted January 5 We sailed Apex in June to Norway and Ascent in December as well as a maiden voyage on Edge. We love them all. As a result we’ve booked Xcel for February 2026. Next sail is on Silhouette in a few weeks. It will be interesting to have a full balcony for a change. We do love the Infinite Verandas and the extra space in our room. Bottom line…every cruise is great and better than staying home.

KLM3164 Posted January 6 #13 Share Posted January 6 We are experienced cruisers but as mentioned above this will be our first time on X. I have a question about the dining. We have fixed time at 6 pm. Will X assign us to one of the 4 dining rooms for all meals or will we be able to try each one? If we are in only one are we able to order off the menu of another one? For example if we areassigned to Tuscan for each meal can we order an entree from the Cyprus menu? TIA for any advice you can offer.

I recommend trying Eden for diner at least once, it's gotten a bit pricey now, but IMO still worth it once. Same with Le Voyage, but that IMO is an unreasonable $125pp before any discount.

SouKnoMe Posted January 7 #16 Share Posted January 7 Recently back from Ascent, and loved the experience. Absolutely beautiful ship, and I loved my cabin attendant. I only hated that they have 22 cabins a piece to do each day. I started Celebrity on S-Class, and have been on Summit. I'm not too sure how I feel about the E-Class, but I've booked another cruise but with one of the port hole balconies. You'll love the ship! Go to Le Voyage, so worth the upcharge.

But you can dial 7000 from the cabin phone to request reservations at any of the 4 restaurants, any night. Yes, they can bring you dishes from the other restaurants as well if you prefer to stay in one place! All menus can be viewed daily in the app. Edited January 7 by KeyLimeKayak Typo 1

Check out the charming Eden Cafe around 11:45am some day for a light lunch, you can take it outside or up ramp where several tables look aft out the tall windows. Then come back at 10:45pm for some amazing shows. This and the tranquil Solarium were our favorite spots. Solarium (try a smoothie at the Spa Juice Bar & Cafe) 2
Rare keesar Posted January 7 #19 Share Posted January 7 The Theater is just spectacular with the special effects. If offered, take a guided tour of the Theater. Food is excellent and really enjoyed Eden Specialty Restaurant. We booked before the price increase and it was worth it. Now, I am not so sure if I would pay the new amount. Some concerns dealt with creaking in some rooms and the lack of experience of some staff. I knew it was the first time for our stateroom attendant -- but inexperienced and overwhelmed. Same was true for some restaurant servers. I felt bad with the extent of their responsibilities, especially being new. Will get better in time...
