I am sad to inform everyone that knew NancyChgo that she has passed into a better world at 5:30 this morning. I have lost a best friend/cruising buddy. Although her health was deteriorating in the past few months, she kept trudging on with working and took her last cruise on Century the beginning of this month. She will be sorely missed.:(

 

 

I'm sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Nancy's friends and family. Nancy was on my Century cruise on 5/3 and I was fortunate to meet her at the Cruise Critic party. See inspired many on this cruise critic board.

I am very sorry to hear about this and thanks for letting us know. As her cruising buddy and best friend you will always remember the the good times and nobody can take that away from you.

I agree, she will be missed a lot. Having had the pleasure of cruising with her 3 times, I know that her positive energy will live on in all of the great memories that we have of her !! Here is to you Nancy.

Another CC'er just gave me the link to this thread. I knew Nancy from Floataway Lounge. When the MOS/Canada Eh? F2F was in Chicago, we tried to meet up with her at Navy Pier but something came up and she couldn't make it. This is just too, too sad.

I saw this cruise today also and if I could find a good price on flights would seriously consider the July 4th sailing.

And my condolences to Nancy's family as well. I always enjoyed her posts. She will be missed.

lol, Yeah....there don't seem to be many specials for solo's that I've noticed. Just a message on the Carnival board about an the Spirit cruise to Hawaii in April 2012. The 1A cabin was listed at 150%. I don't really know the specifics but they said that it was $1,843. The thread was "New policy!!! 1a solos no longer 150%". I haven't really priced Hawian cruises so I don't know if this is good or not.

 

I'm hoping that once the summer season ends, we'll start seeing more specials.

FYI, RCCL has a number of sailings advertised for their "Fourth of July Sale" at 150% and 175% for solo cruisers. Not GREAT by any means but ???????;)

 

 

Hi, Are these rates on the RCCL site or ??

I looked and am not finding them, not sure how to look them up. Thank you.

the Caribbean this coming winter. The SS is the full amount but the

price itself is low (in my opinon).

10 nights on Millennium and 7 nights on Summit both sail out of

San Juan.

Check the Celebrity website for pricing.

I am looking at the 11 day Celebrity Millennium on Jan 3, 2011. 11 days- $1446.00 solo balcony. I think that is a great price for a solo.

Hi everyone Im new to this forum. Just booked my 1st solo last night.

 

Great rates on Grandeur of the Seas 7/17 - 5 nights to Key West, Cozumel and Coco Cay. Inside guarantee was $476+ and outside guarantee was $575+. It came to about a 140% rate which I didn't think was too bad for July.
