First Officer (Navigation or Deck) to Safety Officer to Staff Captain to Captain.

 

It is a very long arduous road from First Officer passing the exams for the Masters License and becoming a Master.

 

Most do not make it all the way.

 

Just like the Navy, few make it to Captain, but the ones that do are usually the exceptional ones, and all three that I know are exceptional

Many officers leaving in the next few weeks.

That's the nature of the cruise industry always a large turnover of people

Hoping to see some familiar faces on the Eclipse in December after repeats on Solstice and Equinox. Always good to see crew and staff who remember us as well.

The lovely Jonette is no longer on Century, she is back home on maternity leave. Her baby is due next February and she hopes to return after that, she already has a 2 year old girl, I do not know how she copes but wish her all the best in the coming months

Her husband, Nelson who works in the casino is still on board but will be going on leave soon but will be back. Not sure though he will be home for the baby's arrival
