Cabin across from elevators?

Will be booking a cruise on the Carnival Conquest soon. Choosing an Oceanview cabin. One of the 2 available in the middle section is across from the elevators. Will this be a noisy cabin?

Never been on a cruise yet but I've learned over the years to avoid any rooms near an elevator. As people stand waiting for them they converse and it's usually never in a low voice. And if the elevators "ding" at there arrival thats annoying as well!

We love having cabins ACROSS from the elevator (especially mid-ship elevators) so convenient! :)

Usually, the elevators and stairs are in a foyer..noise in cabins is nonexistent from that location. We LOVE being close to the access points of the ship!

We have rarely heard noise in a cabin close to the elevators. Most noise we have experienced has come from overhead when we had a cabin under the pool deck or buffet area. :)

As others said, not a problem.

We deliberately choose a cabin in that location, due to mobility issues, never had a problem with noise.

Would never want to be anywhere near an elevator or an electric closet (the hum) or crew access point (elevators/doors movement by waiters, etc). Not would we ever want a bar or performance or kitchen area over us.

Agree with other posters, because of foyers around elevators, noise from elevstors is no problem. In fact, these cabins are usually highly sought after for convenience.

I did not experience any loud noise from elevators. You may hear people talking as they exit the elevators but not enough to disturb you and it is very convenient to be near them.

We put a white noise or fan noice application on our phone(s) and run it all night long. It help drown out noice from outside and inside the cabin.

the deck plans are misleading. Folks wait for the elevators on the other side. Staterooms are behind the elevator Convenient and no noise.

I wondered about noise too, the first time we had a cabin near the elevators. We never noticed any more noise than usual and now like cabins in that area.

We were on the Sunshine last year. Our cabin was across from the elevators. Never heard any noise! And I'm not a heavy sleeper.

A bonus to being close to an elevator is you can run back to your cabin when you forget your sunglasses and be back before the elevator gets there!
