Thank you for the information. Do you get captains club points for that cruise?

You should do, unless they've changed the rules.

We did the 2 day repositioning from Amsterdam- Southampton in Sept 2012 and I got my point ( under the old Captain's Club system) for an inside and friends were awarded 3 points for booking concierge. It meant that the cruise took us to Elite.

However, there was a lady who was travelling who argued with me that I wouldn't get the points, but she was in the RCCL system. She said she was told she wouldn't get points.

All I know is, we got ours.:)

All you can do to be certain, is to ring the Captains Club.

We wanted to book this cruise while aboard the Millennium in April, but were told it was not available even though it was in the flyer.

We aren't on the TA, but will be in Paris prior to the Eclipse fjords cruise:D! We fly from there to SOU, spending one night at the Premier West Quay.

Not being able to book the 2-nighter turns out to be a blessing in disguise since we now have an itinerary that includes Iceland using Icelandair's stopover benefit and a return to Paris, that we'd not have done on the mini-cruise.

The prices do seem a little steep - £800 per cabin for a balcony - no drinks, no grats. If they were offering the drinks package, I may have been able to justify it...

Will keep an eye on prices and see if they drop a little...

Inside and outside are the same price.

£698

2 GUESTS SHARING

( £349 per person)[/Quote]

All balconies are the same price.

On the Celebrity UK site £798 is the price for 2 people.

Way too expensive for 2 nights .

Durante,

Would love to see the email offering it for £199. Any chance you could post a copy here? Perhaps they'll open the offer to Elite if it doesn't sell at the extortionate current pricing :D.

Too bad this is just now opening up. I know a lot of people booked on the TA were interested in this when it couldn't be booked, gave up, and have made other plans.

For 2016 there is also a gap after the TA and before the first european cruise. Wonder if they will make the same decision for that gap and open it to the non-British passengers.

Not sure what the sense of having it closed to non-British customers was in the first place.

It was closed for everyone - It only just opened on Thursday - For us Brits too!

Can't understand why they did not offer it to passengers on the TA, or the following Norway cruise first. We would have considered it at the prices they are offering to the Elite+ passengers!

When I was working we sometimes got offers to take the following cruise at bargain prices, but had o back to work. Now I'm retired it never seems to happen! Anybody remember the days when ALL passengers were escorted to their cabins, not just the top suite ones?

I couldnt agree more !

We enquired about this when we were on Eclipse in May, as it was showing on the flyer sent round by the Future Cruises staff. We were told it was not going ahead. As we are booked on the 9th May Fjords cruise, we thought it would be nice to tag the 2 nighter on before hand.

My TA telephoned yesterday to see if there was any chance it might be offered to Elite passengers on the cruises either side, if the take up was poor from Elite+ and the general public. She was told 'no way'.

We would do it for the £199, but to stay in our SV balcony we have for the Fjords cruise is was well over £800 inc grats. I don't think so

Very interesting.

I have just finished scanning through this weeks edition of Waitrose Weekend i.e. the free weekly newpaper given away in all Waitrose supermarkets.

In there is a half page promotion for this cruise including

Balcony cabin

Drinks Package

Gratuities

All for £199 per person.

Freephone 0800 917 7100 and Quote "Waitrose"

Hope that may help.
