Currently also on the Symphony heading to Bermuda. Some random thoughts/observations.
 
Some background. Just turned 40. I usually cruise solo. Mainly NCL Haven. First time on Crystal. When I booked, prices were very similar to NCL for solos and I've always wanted to try Crystal. I've been reading through various Symphony and Serenity reviews, so I knew what to expect given the low passenger count. For an introvert that, on cruises, likes to get lost in a crowd and enjoys being around people without actually having to interact with them....

Report # 1   September 23, 2021   Thursday   Sunny & 91 degrees in Clayton    Enroute To Alaska
 
Well, here we are, once again, starting a journey to Alaska beginning on Saturday, the 25th, and ending Saturday October 2nd.  At his point, we will believe it when we arrive to the pier in Seattle.  Since we abruptly left the world cruise on the Amsterdam back in March of 2020, we have booked several future trips, only to have them be cancelled due to worldwide Covid outbreaks.  Life will return to somewhat of normal someday, just not that quickly.

I know @jam19872016just completed his b2b on the Mariner, so I was a little hesitant to do another live thread when one was completed so recently.  I did remember saying that every cruise is different so, I figured what the hey, lets go for it.  Its a little early, but there's a reason for this.  I *think* he said he was on this sailing as well, so he's welcome to comment.

So, not quite a live feed yet but thought I would start a similar post for those that have questions about the initial sailings on the Grand Princess out of Los Angeles.  
My iPad is a bit wonky when posting to CC but will try to answer any questions you all may have about these sailings.  We, along with many others are doing a B2B (back to back) cruise starting on 9/25 and we will be continuing on until we disembark on 10/4.  I see a couple of others on our roll call stated they would jump in with answers to the questions you may have or even just post about their experiences.

IT’S LIVE – RETURN TO CRYSTAL SERENITY & THE BAHAMAS – SEPTEMBER 20 -OCTOBER 11
 
We look forward to a new adventure.  For anyone on one or more of these three voyages who wants to post here you are more than welcome to do just that.   
 
Who would have thought at this stage of our lives between our two seven-day Bahamas Cruises in July we would return for three additional cruises of the Bahamas starting September 20th?

We will be sailing tomorrow on the Gem. I am so excited to cruise again it feels like early Christmas. I have had some requests to post food of the Vegetarian options and we have the premium plus beverage package so there will be upgraded drink posts and regular drink posts as well. I will try to post daily depending on the quality of the internet. If you have questions let me know!

So after months of anticipation, here we are aboard World Navigator.  
 
First impressions: The ship is gorgeous. It has a modern chic feel. A city resort feel with a 40 retro chic layer about it.  The staff is so lovely ( at least thus far) , you can tell they are smiling under those masks. Joseph and Rami in the main dining room already making us feel so welcome. The cabins have ample storage and our mini bar was set up upon arrival with all kinds of choices in the fridge and kettle one waiting for us instead of Tito’s vodka along with a note apologizing that they had to make the switch.

Hi. My wife and I are thrilled to be sailing on the Majestic Princess starting Sunday, Sep 19th. Because of the pandemic, we had two cruises cancelled and really need to start travelling again. We live in Colorado Springs, CO and this will be our 12th cruise on Princess. We have also sailed on Holland and Celebrity, but Princess is our favorite.

I know many have been interested in COVID protocols, etc in recent sailings and we are currently on Ovation of the Seas (Seattle >>>Alaska). I have been extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the ship. Masks are worn while inside except in “vaccinated only” areas (there are very few kids on this sailing…in fact the ship is at 38% occupancy with about 1500 passengers)

Hello everyone.  Very excited to have you join DW and I on our trip from Baltimore leaving 9/19 for 7 days to Half Moon Cay, Bimini and Freeport.  Like many of you, we have had several cruises cancelled because of the pandemic, so i think this is our 3rd try.  Our last cruise was January 2020, we were lucky we got one last trip in just before the pandemic really hit.

Welcome to the Oasis of the Seas! We made the torturous 100 mile ride from Central CT to Bayonne to start our adventure! 
 
It’s a beautiful almost Fall day ! We are in a Crown Loft, our second time. 
 
I’ll try to answer questions along the way, anybody else on board feel free to chime in. Here are a few shots of Manhattan from our balcony, with Last Liberty in the foreground. Sailaway is at 5PM.

Greetings everyone, it seems so long since I was able to offer a live report!
 
As you can see from the title we are presently in the Silhouette PH (boarded yesterday) enjoying a staycation. Like most cruisers this is nothing like the cruise we initially had booked but following lifting and shifting, swapping and changing we had hit the point of cruise deprivation where itinerary wasn’t important we just needed to get back on a ship! We are a party of four. Ourselves, our son and his girlfriend (a first time cruiser). We are regular cruisers and in recent years have cruised almost exclusively with Celebrity. 

Hello everyone! I’ll be live blogging my trip on the Celebrity Equinox 9/17 to 9/26. We are traveling from Fort Lauderdale to the ABC islands.
 
First, a little about me.
 
I’m Dee, and my husband is Russ. We have traveled on many different cruise lines; out first cruise was on  Renaissance to New Zealand back in the 1990s, and we were hooked! Lines we’ve been on include Carnival, Norwegian, HAL, Regent Seven Seas, the Caledonian Sky (Japan), and Viking Ocean.

We boarded Le Bellot yesterday in Nice and we are having a great time so far!
 
Saturday, September 11 we drove from Albany to JFK and flew on Delta direct to Nice. Landed early at 9:15 and were out of customs around 9:45. They didn't check our vaccine cards upon arrival even though France is now closed to unvaccinated Americans.

Join the Bird live on an exciting weekend getaway on the newly amped Freedom of the Seas. The Freedom of the seas first set sail in May 2006. She was amped in March 2020 just before the pandemic shutdown and remains new and fresh with all of the latest that Royal Caribbean has to offer.

10th Sept 2021 Embarkation in Barcelona went well. Medical form rechecked a number of times as we went through.  Covid test quick, result through in 20 min allowed to board. Although it says cabins not available until 13.00 we checked ours about noon and bumped into our cabin steward.  He said cabin ready.  Our bags did not arrive until around 14.00 but that was fine as we were able to use cabin.
We are on deck 14 mid ship.

2300 cruisers on board. They are doing a great job of Covid protocols. The only place we’ve seen them not really followed is in the elevators. It’s supposed to be one party per elevator but no one‘s paying attention to that. But they are keeping an eye on masks and social distancing.

The ship looks great  about 800 guest on board this leg.
The crew are so happy to be back . New uniforms in Lido and the dining room.
Entertainment is very good.
Canolato changed the menu a little.

OK, I did not want the string of "live from" to die with us. I will be busy having fun but will try to relay current info when I can.
 
Embarkation: due to an early flight we arrived before the doors opened. Once the terminal opened we were shown to the elite waiting area after showing our paperwork. No snacks or drinks but warm and welcoming with a view of the ship. Boarding started at 11:00 and we were among the first ones to board. Click photo to read more.....

Good Evening CCer, it has been almost 5 weeks since we disembarked from the Nieuw Amsterdam which was the first Holland America ship to sail after the pause. We were fortunately enough to be on that first sailing having booked it the day that HAL annoucement their return to Alaska.

Celebrity Apex 2021 - Greece - Day 1   Good morning, dear shipmates! At last we get to take you (and us) on a vacation again. We are just waiting for our flight to Athens at Frankfurt Airport. Tomorrow morning we are going to embark on Celebrity Apex to cruise in Greece and Croatia.
