  1. We have cruised out of Charleston 4 times as it is only a 3hr drive from home in NC. Usually stay in North Myrtle for two days prior (2hr drive) love the convenience. Will be down there in December for the journey cruise and again in Jan of 2024 before they close the port. Hoping they open up Wilmington as a port. Great city and things to do prior to a cruise
  2. I also received the email but have been booking elite's and premier instead, mostly because I have had friends tell me that with the ultra the casino is insanely packed and difficult to find a machine or table to gamble on. But the offer is tempting
  3. It's any cruise after, we chose to use on our Alaska cruise a few years ago because of the expense of the cruise and the onboard credit was used for our excursions which were expensive. So choose wisely when using on which cruise. Also you and your partner do not need to use on the same cruise.
  4. Smoking section on 8 on starboard side which tends to be full and can get loud also bar in same location
  5. Money to spend in the Casino plus onboard credit Transfers (Private car) to and from the cruise or free parking Free excursions or $300 to spend in the Spa Two bottles of your favorite drink with mixers in your room Free Cheers package Free Social Wifi
  6. They usually send an email letting you know you will be getting an elite offer and what day it will be posted. Then you will find them under your offers on the Carnival site
  7. First of all yes you can use the cruise cash for anything but remember to use it all or you loose it. No refunds for any left over at the end of your cruise. Also you do not have to go to the cashier for chips just sit at a table and they will use your card to charge your chips but there is a 3% fee unless you booked a casino deal, however if you have money on your players card from cashing out after playing a slot you can ask them to take the money from your players bank and no charge
  8. Just add him in with his booking number, you go to Booking order and Detail and scroll down and you will see add another booking, we always do this when we are cruising with others and have never had an issue with us always being placed together for dining
  9. Yes and Yes as for Laundry there should be a bag in your room if not ask the Room Steward for one, fill and leave on the bed for pick up
  10. We were disappointed with the lobster bisque which is one of our favorites. It was a little watery. I had the snapper which is one of my favorite fish however it was very fishy tasting and I could not eat it. My husband had the stuffed lobster which he said was delicious. But with all this said we will be trying this restrauant again in March.
  11. We had 10:30am check in people were not abiding by their boarding passes, we arrived at 9:45 short line. Started allowing people in around 10:15. First stop was checking verify and stamping boarding passes, second thru security. Third was check in desk for passports or whatever ID you were using and picture taking and then on the ship. Never sat down. A little different then the last two times we were there (2019/2021) where we did it all initially when we went in terminal. Luggage was also a little different, two guys at a little booth type set up and you just hand it to them.
  12. It is a flat no hills and there was a golf cart that took us down to our cabana
  13. I ordered mine in June and they are good until May 9th 2023
  14. I got one and assumed it was because I was told they are developing a new port
  15. See JJ cruises on Youtube regarding this and what happened to them using this process. Curious to find out if others are having an issue with this proctoring. For now I'm sticking with Emed's BinaxNow as we have not had any issues in the last 5 cruises we have taken using them and they have been arriving within 48hrs of ordering online. They are also easier to use than the government test.
  16. I have a Canadian passport and Green card and must always travel with the Green Card. The check in process on line when I check not an American Citizen requires me to enter my visa information (green card) and this is what they will want to see when you arrive at the port. I never have to give them my passport. Also you do not have to choose the type of visa if you have a green card just skip that step
  17. Yes we had 15471 on the Mardi Gras and loved it so we are booked in same room again in March. No noise and convenient
  18. Did you look at your onboard account, they usually apply it there and not as a refund to the card that you charged it too.
  19. Have used these test for the 7 cruises that we have taken since the restart. Very easy to use and never any problems
  20. Verifly does make it easier, they just looked at it and we did not have to show test results or vaccination cards
  21. I'm Canadian living in the US, I've never had this question asked for cruises prior to Covid. I skipped the question and have not had any problem embarking on a cruise since cruising started back up(6 cruises) except for the fact that they have many new employees at the terminal that do not know that if you are a permanent resident you must use your green card as identification instead of your passport. I have gone thru this each time and they always end up having to call a Supervisor for clarification.
  22. Yes one bottle per adult in carryon luggage
  23. We were given option of luggage tag or Koozie on April and June cruise
  24. Thank you they found it, and apparently most days it was very windy and cold.
  25. Just an FYI Carnival does not currently use the luggage service for disembarking luggage back to the airport
