  1. You know the answer, and if you did not, than why would you already have a clear holder.
  2. I often go on vacations lasting up to 2 weeks. I have never did laundry on vacation. Airlines accept up to a 50.7 lb bag which is more than sufficient for one person.
  3. But you did not give complete info and if you look at the answers, they are incomplete also. Look, if you want to show up for your cruise and get turned away, go to these boards, ask incomplete questions, get wrong answers, and good luck.
  4. Your are asking the wrong questions. First, a minor is a human being, and all humans are treated the same....so a minor is the same as an adult and vice versa Secondly, you don't need a passport for AK Next, you need to ask the question, are you leaving from Vancouver or Seattle. Next you need to say, is it a closed loop cruise or a one way cruise. Next, do you plan to do an excursion, such as a train that goes into Yukon. Next, if you don't trust RCCL, than why in the world do you trust perfect strangers on a message board? So, if you are on a closed loop cruise from Seattle, that enters Canada you don't plan on any excursions entering Canada, than I'm pretty sure, you don't need a Passport (or card). Now, if you somehow already determined that an "adult" needs a passport, than of course the "minor" needs it, but why do you think you need it?
  5. I'm missing something? If you are severely injured on the ship, would you not be in the ships infirmary, and when at dock, taken to the hospital for follow-up care? Did the doctor on the ship, release her, improperly? The word Severe in this case, seems to be an opinion. You need to file a claim with the cruise line to they will handle it, but don't expect much, if you walked off the ship, without the assistance of medical.
  6. I only tip, when a service is provided, and it is a person that normally gets a tip for a service, like maybe someone pushing you, not handing you the keys to the scooter.
  7. Well, you can get a cake, like a birthday cake, but honestly, a cruise is not a political place, such as the question might now be asked, if the person won because of race, or are they qualified for the job. (you see, your brought race into the question, which on the ship, would open a flood gate of opinions).
  8. Two main types of ships today. The first is a "destination" ship, where you go on it because you want to be on a ship, and don't care about the islands that you went dozens of times already. The other type of ship, is a ship that takes you to destinations. It is not filled with resort activities. It has lots of food, a show every night, and plenty to drink. It takes you to ports daily, which is your destination. So what do you want? A Destination ship, or a ship taking you to a destination?
  9. Your speculation is so far fetched, it is amusing. The relaxation of the policies, is cutting two days off the isolation policy on arriving back home, and changes some testing requirements. It is still impossible to travel to China, and those leaving are not going to have a cheap, or easy time once they return.
  10. If you picked a fixed dining time, you would have had no line. There are multiple places to eat on a Oasis Class ship, for breakfast and dinner. My guess yesterday being boarding day, people are not aware of the many choices. I hope you friends don't cancel because you had a line on boarding day dinner. Maybe tell them to get fixed time dining and solve the issue?
  11. So, the Bahamas is 184 miles from Miami (South Florida where you live) and it is just slightly South, but not farther South than Key West. I'm going to say you already know the answer.
  12. May I suggest bringing a rain coat, and don't fret over the weather.
  13. If you watch more TV, you might find a show concerning cruise ship. On that show, it almost always show how they inspect the food before taking it, and how many times, something is rejected. Just last night, I saw a ship, reject a pallet of grapes. Someone will be unhappy about it......and so the mushrooms are the same, like everything else fresh.
  14. Answer is a big NO. It is a place that is earned. No guest
  15. Yes it is earned if you are a child of the parent. Once they get 18, they are no longer attached. So, they have their own number of nights, and they must get their own nights until they reach next tier. Same thing with a spouse. They are together (married). The poster clearly is talking about guests, friends, which are not related. Someone going with them to have fun. Those people need to earn the right to Diamond and above. I earned the right and I never ask or try to bring guests. That goes the same for any other item that I earned with loyalty.
  16. English, if leaving from an English speaking country. PR, is officially Spanish, but if you also leave from Barcelona, you will find more Spanish
  17. Removing tips serves zero purpose. When you tip at a restaurant do you know how much is GIVEN to each person, such as bus boy etc? The traditional, and customary issues on a ship, involving how money is handled, the expectation of how much you get tipped, how each cruise line handles those so called cash tippers, etc are not the business of the cruise passenger. Even in early days, the cruise line gave the recommended amount to tip, and those front line people than were somehow responsible to tip back wards, you know, those that help them to make your trip special. It is a onboard culture not to be concerned with.
  18. Diamond is an "earned" status, based on number of nights on a ship. Guests wanting to share a Diamond benefit needs to book lots of cruises.
  19. One year there was a shortage of limes, and it did not raise the price of lemons.
  20. I don't care how many tails a person eats. It certainly is not rude. As far as "MORE WORK", one must remember the staff is there to serve the guests, not the other way around. I won't eat that many, and I don't even understand the fascination with it, since it is pretty common food.
  21. Did you know that a lobster is not a crab?
  22. Well, I will be on two ships next year, and only one RCCL. I am Diamond. I take vacations based on what I want to do, and throw in cruises along the way. For those that are Pinnacle, great for them, but I want variety, and the cost is irrelevant
  23. First, I might add that paper is a renewable resource, and I live near many tree farms. Paper is not an issue to print out. Second this is not a tipping thread, so how did it turn into tipping? Third, how did it turn into a thread how much bar servers make? Fourth, the free drinks are messed up now, and if you have a soda package or the next one, how many times do they not see it, and charge a soda to a free drink? My take on this, is simply, that the POs system now requires that if a free drink is charged, they can not over ride the receipt print out, and the servers are now required, to own up to the mistake at the POS. It is making them more aware of their job, and what they need to do. Before we complain about it, lets see if it actually works. I might add it is not our business what a person makes, how much they get in tips, or anything about their finances. Plus, as a Diamond, I do not need to be lectured to tip, or not to tip and how much. Leave tipping out of discussions.
