  1. leave irons and steamers home. When you pack do it carefully, to prevent wrinkles. Note, that everyone, the other several thousand people, will also not have irons/steamers to use. If you have some wrinkles, than you will be normal.
  2. Generally speaking, once you get into the terminal building. Help will be getting on to the ship only, and I'm pretty sure, they will take you to your rented wheelchair.
  3. You can just ask. Honestly my wife just asks to verify.
  4. Sushi is a dish made with "sushi rice" or known as "Shari". Sushi can be cooked or raw, and is made with many different ingredients which can be seafood, or many other vegetables, or any kind of meat wrapped with sushi rice. So when you say you don't like sushi, are you saying you don't like raw fish? Or are you saying you don't like rice? My wife does not like raw fish, so instead, she orders "sushi" made with cooked items. Izumi is a really nice place to eat, filled with many good sushi rolls to fit anyone's taste. It also has other items on the menu. I should note that it is often times not true Japanese Sushi
  5. I once got a refund......it was $4.30. I was able to buy half of a Beer.
  6. Just an opinion....I would never in a million years, book for someone else. So many things can go wrong.
  7. I'm just waiting now, and hopefully all these changes will not affect my cruise, and we can see more info soon. I'm only on a 3 night, and this cruise, is just a piece of my vacation. But I hate not being able to plan
  8. I was thinking that I can't remember the last time I had a mask on. Been on 5 vacations, which includes International trips outside this country. (3 ships)
  9. Staff does not like to say no......but this is why lines are longer. The right answer is you always go to the line for the lowest person. Why, because the other lines are earned. Do adults really need to get in line together?
  10. did you already book under the old rate, or the new rate? Under the new rate, it appears the classic drinks are "optional" based on what you purchase, adn if you upgrade the drinks. It is no longer inclusive it appears. My booking still shows that the drink package is included.
  11. We (the USA) is the protector of the Caribbean. So sending supplies is nothing new. Everyplace you go, may or may not be as safe as your home. Depends on what news source you read. So, stop listening to the news, go on the cruise to Labadee and enjoy it!
  12. I think the number depends on the ship, but it is open booking until sold out. I don't think that they would just not have it because you want it to yourself unless you get a special booking and pay for all seats. Considering you will be on Wonder of the Seas, you have so many places where you can have a party in so many places.
  13. So, if it was done on the ship.....the ship only submits the paper work, and a tax office determines the outcome and refund amount. So all the ship did was submit the paperwork and it is now out of their hands
  14. Wait, they have TV on ships? I thought that box on wall was for seeing your portfolio, watching ship happenings, and the location of the ship......
  15. I noticed that now, the changed the drinks again. I'm already booked, and my reservation says that I have the basic drinks package which is simple mixed drinks, beer on tap and some wine. I noticed it is changed now so that when you book, you have two choices. A cruise, with only no drinks, and a tour OBC and than the other with a drinks at dinner only and more money for a tour package and an option to upgrade the drinks to premium. Seems like they are going away from "all inclusive" Seems like you now pay for "all inclusive". At Least I have my beer all day.
  16. This is my opinion. First, booking on a "cheap and budget" airline, you pay for everything. My opinion is that it' not really a big deal, because you really did not get a discount if you accept that, all is well. I go on trips to enjoy, and to be comfortable. If I'm going on a week long vacation, than I am going to pack one suitcase for me, and one for the wife. No way, we are going to try to limit our clothes and any accessories that are needed just to save money. When I buy tickets, I look at both the cost of the ticket and the extras combined. I have in the past paid for luggage but that was because it was still cheaper. Got to look at the big picture. It is the same for a cruise right? It's not just the fare, but everthing else, the taxes, port costs, tips, drinks, etc. At the end of the day, it is the "final" price and not the individual prices. So, don't worry about packing, just pay the extra fee, and be relaxed.
  17. Are you asking about a private party for 10? Because, you won't be alone, and honestly, and it is only an opinion, I would personally want to be at a party where I can have open conversation, and enjoyment with everyone, not be at an even like this.
  18. After you book, look at the bar menu on the app, and you will see it
  19. But yet many people also say they won't get off the ship in the Caribbean for many reasons such as, I was there a dozen times, it is not safe, the islands all look the same, there is nothing to do. In the Caribbean, ships are a destination. In Europe, the ports are the destination. So if a ship becomes a giant family resort, than I see no issue with it. You can't please everyone, but the bottom line is of course money and new customers
  20. You can go to your app prior and know the answer.....no need to ask what to dress, the answer is found a thousand times on these boards
  21. I don't understand how "covid" improved boarding. The idea of showing up, getting scanned by a person with a tablet, and being checked in, wait until rooms open, and get your cards at the doorway. Depending on the ship (quantum class started it) this was around pre-covid. It was always the plan to streamline the process with the apps The only thing that happened was the muster drill, and I think that was already in the works, but maybe, covid moved it faster. Many of the things also depends on the port. Boarding times are set up to ease congestion, but we are part of the me generation, where, a suggestion used to mean something to do, but now it means everyone else should do it, but not me. So, yes, boarding times matter, but no one bothers since it's everyone elses issue
