I am finally going on Vision in 10 days just to experience a smaller ship with traditional decor. I do like Voyager class as well as the larger ships.

Sometimes it depends on what deck and part of ship like if near sanctuaries or restaurants But in general interiors are usually cheaper so it must be issues with a particular cruise

Might be since both ships get supplies perhaps from same place

yes I would or show up a little early and then tell the waiter you are a show at 9. They can speed up things a bit too. No dinner needs to be over 1 1/2 hours all the time.

I enjoyed the Summit in 2016 out of Bayonne to Bermuda. Also we ha Capt Kate at the time and she took the ship upstream to view the Statue of Liberty. I also enjoyed the Silhouette out of Southampton to Canaries. looking forward to the EDGE from Barcelona this summer for 7 days in which the itinerary is better than the Symphony so that a visit to Monaco can be had. Edge will end up in pacific and Alaska market for a while.

yes I was there as part of a tour in 2012 for a day. Now I get to see more and walk around. Not going out to falls for the cathedral area either. toodles

I am glad I do not book internet when sailing. I get information off tv or wait to get home to catch up. Wonder how folks got along without internet, well they did for many years. As for TV network, well that is a crap shoot. I notice more lines do not carry CNN but they do FOX and MSNBC. I agree that crew when lots of kids on board try to not police too much. Must be hard for crew when they see a lot of rude and loud folks.

unfortunately for some reason NE cruising has some issues. Last year my cruise on Adventure OTS they had a port change due to overbooking with a ship coming back from Europe, and my Halifax port was moved to Sydney. Now I am hearing issues with Bar Harbor too with limits to ships. So glad I have done a few NE trips in the past. One one this year and best part is overnight in Quebec City.

A lot of cruise line have pick you own room price that is different from assigned. I hate this and do not believe in guaranteed room. Just sell a room and be done with it. And Carnival really as tiered pricing by deck even more than other lines.

how about changing the color of the carpet on side of ship FROM orange to say something less loud. One can only hope.

it used to be that ice was just provided. But last time I was one in July 2022, once I mentioned I would like once a day ice, I got it. And I made sure to tip my steward. I find they will bend over backwards to serve you and then you bend over backwards to also provide and extra tip.

all the ports are fun to walk around in case you can't book an excursion. In Juneau, ride the tram up to the top for wonderful views. I bet once on the ship, you will find some tours have availability.

Yes that can give someone a heart attack. I was on the Anthem of the Seas in 2021 and we had a helicopter at night (8pm) in high winds take someone off. A video is on You Tube as this was a risky at best.

there should never be a fee attached to free dining regardless of reserving the time or not. Just plain wrong. With so many of various cruise lines threads on cruise critics concerning dining, I just chose to go the buffet and be done with it. I am not on board for fancy food and if I do want some, I make reservations for speciality on day 1 when I board. I can't ever think why someone would make food a priority for sailing. So many land based restaurants have wonderful. Of course I want to have good decent food, but not looking for spectacular food.

wow I never gave it a thought about those not from USA and losing money due to exchange rate. That is a shame to lose excursions and money. I would be curious as to know what excursions and what ship.

have a great crossing. Tony from La Lido Loca You Tube channel is on board. He is a tall big guy and friendly. I will watch PTZ as the ship leaves. Glad I found out and did not stay up to watch the 3:30 am arrival. I saw the ship was very slow coming and then I found out why. Hope the person is okay.

well take my advice and DO NOT get the vanilla shake at Johnnys. I t was just plan tasteless and yuk.
