agree. I know on the Wonder some folks did not appreciate the big screen that put up near the pools. It was loud at night for the central park area. Then again the boardwalk does have the water show but I watched the schedule and a few nights were not loud. I would say playmakers is the one area of noise that I had to address and call down to guest services. They were still very loud at 1am and would not close if a lot of folks were still drinking. $$$$ rules. Eventually it got under control though. I liked watching the merry go round too.

and also more and more folks are louder on balconies and depending on where your room is, you will hear loud noises from the pool deck. So if you get a balcony, make sure it is up near the front of the ship. Again, I love Oceanview rooms more and more. Especially in the front of the ship as more ships now have areas for suite guests only. I do not like outdoor areas reserved for certain type of rooms. Getting an oceanview in front of the ship allows me to see where the ship is going without the wind.

well I went on day 1 and walked up and got in. I liked some things but I found the waffles to be very thin for big honking piece of chicken that they put on it. After about 5 minutes it became a mushy mess

hello, I understand anxiety and once it is conquered then all is well. You said Cape Canaveral. Well the Wonder OTS goes out of there. I did her in 2022 when she first came to USA and sailed out of Ft Lauderdale. Below are some photos of my boardwalk room which i did get sun and breeze. please pick this ship as it has best Aqua show.

yes in the summer it will still be light at 10pm the more northern you are. And really Alaska is expensive for shore excursions so spend the money there. Get up and get out of the room and walk around.

I love the Oasis and will sail again in October out of NJ area. I like the outside area in front of solarium. Poor Cats, it is time to send that show away and get something else. I am looking forward to eating at the BBQ place and yes, it is extra money, but I have heard reports that it is worth it.

well for Alaska and Northern Europe in the summer, an interior room allows for better sleep. And BTW, those balconies can be noisy if folks around you slam doors and or talk loud. Also if windy the dividers can have a whistling sound. So for the price difference. I try to get a nice interior without connecting doors. More money to spend on other things. I also like Oceanview windows especially at the front of the ship as well.

on most cruise lines it is the comedy clubs that book up the most. Then again, sometimes they do shows in the big theaters as well. Standby for big shows usually works and one can usually find a few seats in balcony after the show starts. Then again I see folks leaving about 15 minutes into a show, so look for those seats as well.

yes you can sit with legs in the pool and drink in hand.

well if the Viva is coming from the Mediterranean. then perhaps the waters won't be so rough. I know the northern routes can be. But honestly given world climates these days, it is hard to predict. If you do go on the Viva, just know that some venues are small and on those sea days might be a bit crowded too. They did not build the prima class the same way they built earlier class.

well when I was on the Equinox last Nov, I remember going to toe MDR on day 4 and the lady at the podium looked at me and asked why I was not at Blu. I told her I wanted a change of scenery and she looked at me like I was a bit nuts. I do know they expect most Aqua to go to Blu but you can go to MDR. I actually also went to buffet a lot as well.

Aw I did not know this. I am on in November for Thanksgiving cruise so I might try P/A for breakfast. and better coffee too. wow

yes I agree they do not need cabanas under the deck where there is shade. I also think table and chairs are more comfortable than those lounge chairs that everyone tries to hog. I feel all sitting areas around the pool should be free.

how can you control if it is just a wide angle of outdoor scenes? I mean who would go around and ask for everyones permission. I know most of the You tubers try to avoid people up close but then I will see a walkout video and folks are walking towards the camera. There seems to be more and more You Tubers these days and they do more than just take photos. They offer other services to the public if you get my drift.

I was in line for the skyride but as a solo they gave me a hard time and I had to go out without the other color alongside of me. I just was not liking the attitude of the folks running it. Might try again on Horizon this fall.

excellent. and is it true they sometimes have fireworks as the ship leaves or perhaps that was a a special thing I saw on You Tube?

well the flight number from Phila landed today. I know they said the airport would open at noon on Friday(today) but it must have opened a bit earlier. Now I just hope no issues with the hotel but I think the city will recover. Yesterday thankfully there were no ships going out. But I bet a few flights are still messed up today and might have issues. toodles I am looking forward to the Vision as I have never been on that class and she seems to have a lot of older traditional style to her.

interesting concept. It is like in USA a lot of Governors are qualified to be President as it is the same structure. I know for new ship builds, often captains are involved at the shipyard to over see.things. The original captain of Oasis (first class ship) helped redesign the central park area and convinced them to remove a ramp and keep the walkways level for safety.

no worries I just thought folks might have specifics. I have been to Coco Cay, Castaway Cay, and Half Moon Cay. I have heard some good things about MSC island too.
