  1. Or, did not care about the fee??? bon appetit and bon voyage
  2. The OP insinuated that EU261 rulings may have influenced LH's options shown, I must admit that my knowledge of EU261 was rudimentary at worst case, yet would suggest that if the OP read the 2022 article, they would have understood that this regulation applies, mainly, when one is at the airport ready to board OR already boarded. As such to imply that this regulation may have been a factor is not in the realm of possibility, IMO. The OP can pose this 'hypothetical' on the Cruise Air Forum here on CC where those who fly a great deal will provide them with a great foundation as to when and how EU261 can be invoked. As well, the OP can summarize their situation there and receive great input as to the best way to proceed and/or handle the challenge, if it is thought they have a case either with the airline or X or both. bon voyage
  3. Actually, my post was to discern what the actual facts were... thus my question, which you answered accordingly. I understand that you are upset, mainly, because you would have had to spend upwards of $8k for a class of service which is very desirable, under conditions which you in reality were not entitled to based on the fare class paid. I can understand that you were offered a 'no charge' upgrade and later had it removed and you were placed on a flight and in the class you actually paid for, which has caused you upset regardless of which company is responsible for taking it away. You have yet to tell us what you would have paid for your flights were you to book directly with the airlines vs FBC, which is fine. If you believe that I Am not decent because I drilled down what the real issue about your upset is, then so be it. The subject of your thread is: FBC ..."error that worked to my favor" or did we mis-read it??? As it turns out, that error in your favor only lasted but for so long and now there is a war ensuing to re-instate that error... or do I have it incorrect? I do not believe there were no personal attacks towards you, just the process you are taking for trying to get something for which you had not, in error or not, paid for. To my way of thinking, you needed to be prepared to enjoy the original flight in case the "error" was reversed and from all of your subsequent postings you are not. To be sure, be decent about the situation and accept that you had a good thing for as long as it lasted, what would you have done at the airport were you denied seating in business class at the airport??? Based on what you are writing here, I can only conject about it... At any rate, I trust you have a great sailing and try to enjoy the flights to and from... bon voyage
  4. Actually, for me, you have answered the questions quite succinctly and clearly. For that, I thank you... bon voyage
  5. Two (2) questions: 1) Were you happy with the flights, class and seats as originally booked? 2) What is the reason you did not book any business class seats at the point of reservation??? For me, FBC has been good, so far, even with airline schedule changes, because the airline and FBC contact me about the five (5) minute departure changes (two (2) so far) and I thought good an additional five (5) minutes in the lounge... LOL We book what we like at the point of reserving and do not think about any upgrades, as for the most part there are no upgrades to be had as we usually fly business class internationally and first class on flights more than three (3) hours domestically... No room for change of seats unless there is an aircraft change which forces it... At any rate, I trust you will end up having a great sailing despite this air thing gone awry... bon voyage
  6. Have you checked the Roll Call for this sailing, yet?? bon voyage
  7. ji - I do not blame you, as I would have passed, as well... LOL bon appetit and bon voyage
  8. j I Am sure someone will manage to get it done from the boards here... LOL bon appetit and bon voyage
  9. While I have eaten in Luminae as a guest a few times, I have never ordered anything from the MDR there... I would tend to think that the sous chef or server would make sure everything was a bit above the 'ordinary' presentation... JMO on that one.. Still worth a try regardless... bon appetit and bon voyage
  10. s Taking a hit for CC.... Then post what you actually ate as a contrast, that is if the burger was not edible... LOL bon appetit and bon voyage
  11. A healthier presentation, possibly??? LOL... bon appetit and bon voyage
  12. m I thought you forgot a digit in the link, 250, and was a surreptitious filming of me boarding a flight!!! LOL... That "dog" should not have been allowed to board under any circumstances IMO... Hopefully those days are coming to an end... bon voyage
  13. gp - the poster to whom you responded to initially, believed that my post about bariatric surgery was directed to them personally, I did explain that it was a general and not personal comment. My apology and explanation has yet to be acknowledged, which is fine... I trust that most posters here know and appreciate that I do not engage in personal attacks, regardless of my thoughts... bon voyage
  14. Of course there will be a few of us who do not get it, as it were... LOL I agree with your and others thought on this... bon voyage
  15. Actually, I travel with quite a few carnivores, confirmed and unabashedly so, as such hear from the first bite to the last how the meal was... Especially over the last two (2) years and the resounding consensus was that the food was not that bad in the MDR yet better in the Specialties... I did poll them, to refresh memory, over the last two (2) weeks... edited to add: one just reminded me that they were unhappy on one of our sailings on one night that the OVC did not have quite the extensive carving station that they remembered pre-pandemic. bon appetit and bon voyage
  16. LOL, then there are at least two (2) other viable options: 1) become vegan and barring that; 2) Azamara or Oceania... bon appetit and bon voyage
  17. You actually believe it is nosediving??? bon voyage
  18. id I can concur with the sentiment... LOL bon voyage
  19. Also, solicit info from the Aza forum here on CC... Some may have great info for you to consider, as well... bon voyage
  20. My comment was in general and not directed to you specifically... sorry if it came across as personal. bon appetit and bon voyage
  21. I fully understand... yet what is your TA input on something comparable to what you have had in the past as a go to now? Plus, I presume you want the same price point as well, correct??? bon voyage
  22. Or... it could be a way to save on bariatric surgery for those so inclined or upset by the changes... LOL bon appetit and bon voyage
  23. I, for one, would not want to deprive you or anyone else the decision to call X's CSR's for complaining when there are other outlets to do so... Even if inter-dispersed with booking other sailings simultaneously, if I understood the post correctly... I do not think that any of the prompts when calling in, indicate which button to push if there is a complaint, could be and I did not hear it... CSR's, for the most part at X, are order takers and not complaint takers, calls recorded or not. Just because a call is being recorded, does not mean it will be listened to unless there is a need to review performance or possibly a dispute over a booking (I said, they said)... bon voyage
  24. lggg - does not UA provide tracking of bags in their app??? If so, it must not have been useful or updated to show the location of the bags... Happy to hear that they have been found... Now enjoy the balance of your trip!!! bon voyage
  25. I concur... Then again, many will come back to say that they could not get through to complain when there are, possibly, more urgent issues the CSR's need to address... That is, unless the caller who is complaining is cancelling and I would suggest that is more important!!! LOL bon voyage
