  1. Dinner plate size serving was wonderful. I didn't ask about its credentials. We ate there twice and loved it.
  2. This is the Edge but they are the same. Not a lot of cover. Probably noise on Deck 12. We booked a SV on Deck 7.
  3. We are jeans and t-shirt cruisers. I own one set of dress clothing for funerals and weddings. I don't think I would be comfortable on Oceania or Regent. Last three times on X were PH on the Constellation (twice) and an Edge Villa on the Beyond. I cruise to relax, don't care about leaving the ship at ANY port, and love my pre-cruise stay in Ft Lauderdale (Lago Mar). Retreat boarding at T25 in Port Everglades rocks! We like 7 days or less and don't like sailing from Miami. Next sailing will be on the Ascent. What I'm doing works for us so I'm not going to fix it.
  4. We did a 5 day in an Edge Villa on the Beyond in November. Best service ever. That made us Elite and I booked the Ascent and the Edge. X works for me!
  5. PJ's were in a closet. I asked the butler have them monogrammed. They came back the next day. We had hang tags for room service breakfast. Butler delivered it. Wonderful!
  6. From the cruise contract: "No Guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age or older, except for minors sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms, or for under-aged married couples (proof of marriage is required) or except as otherwise permitted by Carrier’s policy. Carrier reserves the right to request proof of age at any time and Passenger’s age on the date of sailing determines his or her status for the entire cruise vacation."
  7. We did an Owner's Suite on the Sky Princess in 2019 after doing a PH on the Constellation in 2014 and 2016. I really missed the butler and having a dining table. We were on the Beyond last month and the first thing I did upon our return was cancel a pending Princess cruise. I moved that date to the Edge. No more Princess for us.
  8. I recently booked a Sky Suite on the Ascent and picked 9163. The Beyond and Ascent differ slightly from the Edge and Apex. I choose that suite because it's on the bump out and close to the forward elevators. We were in an Edge Villa on the Beyond and found that we only used the aft elevator once while using the forward elevator often.
  9. After looking forward to the Edge Villa verandah for a year, the door wouldn't open. Our butler called engineering and three people took about 45 minutes to fix it. Interesting to watch and back functioning by sail-away.
  10. Cancelled a cruise 10/17 and received FCC's on 11/23. Applied them to a new booking.
  11. It didn't seem too scary after navigating the dimly lit mirrored hallway! We had a rollator. Probably would be cramped with a full-sized wheelchair or a motorized scooter.
  12. I've used this resource in the past. https://www.cruisetimetables.com/full-cruise-ship-charters.html Trust me. Partial charters can be a pain. We booked a cruise on the Century and it was mostly participants of a Mahjong tournament. They had several venues blocked off.
  13. American Airlines: Under the seat bag dimensions should not exceed 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45 x 35 x 20 cm). Carry-on dimensions should not exceed 22 x 14 x 9 inches / 56 x 36 x 23 centimeters (including handles and wheels) I won't slow my boarding by pressing the issue at security in the cruise ship terminal.
  14. We were in a starboard side Edge Villa on the Beyond a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful ship! We loved the Retreat and knew we wanted to be in a suite on the Ascent (deck plans are identical). I selected 9163 because it's close to the elevators to the Retreat, yet far enough away to not be noisy. There not a door to an inside room directly across from it. It's on the forward bump-out (notice the IV room next door begins the recessed area). There's actually a wall on the aft side of the verandah. This eliminates noise from one side of the 9163 verandah. No sofa bed in this room. Don't know that it matters but we were in an Owner's Suite on the Sky Princess and the couch kept trying to turn itself into a bed (cushions wouldn't stay on). The big draw is the proximity to the elevators and being port side (no Magic Carpet issues).
  15. After much research, and sailing on the Beyond a couple of weeks ago, we chose 9163 for the Ascent. Deck plans are the same.
  16. Thanks for the link! I got my FCC's posted to a current booking.

There are a couple of items that I would like to point out regarding the Specialty Dining venues. Le Petit Chef only has two dining times available each night. There is an early seating at 6:00pm and a late seating at 8:30pm. As always, you are more than welcome to dine in Luminae, which is our exclusive restaurant for our Suite guests. This venue is open seating therefore, reservations are not required. Additionally, we are pleased to offer a complimentary minibar that is stocked daily, as well as two complimentary bottles of liquor to enjoy during your time with us. As I would love the opportunity to have these top suite amenities available for you upon your arrival, kindly choose from the options attached. Please note, in case the liquor is not your preferred option we can substitute with a bottle of wine, we carry a variety of Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. Also, due to supply chain issues, you might not see some favorites we have been able to provide in the past. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I kindly ask that you select from the available list, but also provide any choice not listed and I will include this in my record to the ship with the request to provide, in the event it becomes available. Upon arrival to the pier, please make your way to the terminal entrance. Once there you will see a banner that says, “Priority Curbside Drop-Off”. After you have dropped your luggage off you will be escorted to the security screening and check-in. From there you will be able to board the beautiful Celebrity Beyond! Attached you will find a Dash id for the curbside drop off. Please fill it out with your information and place it on the dash of the vehicle you will be arriving at the pier. One of my colleagues will be happy to assist you."
  18. Which ship? I have an email address that might help.
  19. Nope. I've done both. This was the view from the port side Penthouse master bath while docked at T29. Not much of to see but better than our view of the tank farm when we did the same room from T4. I booked the Ascent, in part, because I'm sure it will be sailing from T25.
  20. I liked the red and green lights around the elevators. As near as I could figure if the door opened, and it was headed in your selected direction, the lights were green. If not, they were red.
  21. I'd contact the Shoreside Retreat Concierge for clarification. This isn't a great photo but it's what they sent me to indicate the Retreat luggage drop-off. There were porters there. It's past the regular drop-off area. Near the first turn-around circle. "For your convenience, please note the picture provided of the pillar that will be outside the terminal where the Suite Luggage sign will be."
  22. The .pdf showing premium spirits had the word 'availability' in the title. We swapped ours out for two nice bottles of wine.
