  1. I've tried using it a few times, but have ended up cancelling each time. I would book a nonstop flight for my cruise, then Carnival would change flights to ones with layovers and worse flight times and if I wanted to go back to the original, it would cost more money. So I would cancel and rebook direct with the airline. Maybe if using it for overseas would be better, but my experience with cruises from Utah to Long Beach and Miami is not the best.
  2. It seems to be hit or miss. I saw a few small things on Vista in Oct 2022, but nothing on Panorama in January 2023. Don't remember anything being announced about the ocean plaza since COVID, but I could've missed something.
  3. Are you sure it was Vista and not Horizon? The library is next to the steakhouse on Vista.
  4. They have a CD schedule that says subject to change at any time, but we see lots of people crying to John Heald because the CD was the only reason they booked that cruise. It happens on 3rd party sites with comedians and piano bar entertainers. People will complain just to complain.
  5. People still use Fax? My company stopped using it years ago. Am surprised its still an option for Carnival.
  6. Carnival was not making what they wanted to off that cruise, whether it was lower cruise fares or lower onboard spending. So they moved the ship elsewhere. I guarantee if they were making as much money as they wanted, they would've kept a ship there.
  7. Thats because the majority of them either want freebies, or are unable to find the answers to questions that are clearly listed on Carnivals site.
  8. Its happened quite a bit. If they haven't done it yet, they won't cancel more cruises to send it early.
  9. The issues is all the small cuts while increasing prices sucks. They cut cabin service, and immediately increased gratuities, so it is essentially getting charged more for less. We don't have to like the changes.
  10. Fix the propulsion issue that has plagued that ship. Give the ship the new livery. Other than that, nothing is known.
  11. Since I started cruising in 2010, we have gained Guys Burgers(which seems to have gone downhill since COVID), Blue Iguana(both the bar and restaurant), Guys BBQ, and Alchemy Bar. Lost free room service, twice a day cabin cleaning, which also cost us the mint/chocolate on the pillow, staff that had time to stop and visit(now the majority appear rushed). Food that used to be excellent in the MDR are now available for purchase in the steakhouse, tablecloths went away. Elegant night truly felt elegant
  12. Ships starting with the Vista have designated rooms for the Chefs table, they are not taking over a separate area for it. That's why it is offered more on the newer ships and not ships like the Spirit.

  14. Carnival normally STARTS releasing new dates around October. Usually 1-2 ships at a time.
  15. In January, it was plenty warm in the ports, coming north of Cabo it was cool. So March SHOULD be ok. That being said, the weather can be unpredictable and it could be freezing.
  16. It all depends on group size. The only one that can give you the correct answer is the person you were talking too.
  17. Yes Vista is in Galveston for a few more months and then it will move to Port Canaveral in November.
  18. Where you will be sailing from Port Canaveral and not Galveston like this cruise, this is not the best spot for the correct information. If possible, try and get a later flight. MCO is a horrible airport. I was there at 9:00 AM for a 1:00 PM flight and was still worried about missing it. Finally got passed security around Noon.
  19. I'd do it again when they change the menu, but once per menu, I will agree. The Vista class and newer have dedicated rooms for the Chefs Table. I know Vista had it down in the galley, but it was a room so it wasn't noisy at all.
  20. It still amazes me how people know to come here to complain, but didn't pay attention to this forum over the last 2 years when all of these changes were announced. I guess they wouldn't have anything to complain about if they actually paid attention and not just ASSUMED everything was the same.
  21. Go to the shore excursion desk as soon as you board the ship. Occasionally its been closed, but I went to guest services and still got signed up.
  22. Where does it say you can cancel without penalty? I don't see anything regarding that.
  23. What are some of the best options for getting from the Orlando International Airport to a hotel near the port?
  24. I had a cove on Vista and while I didn't think the weather was bad or the ocean rough, we woke up to salt on everything every morning, so we had to wipe down the chairs every day before we could sit down. Not worth the hassle for me and I go back to my aft extended balconies.
  25. You know what I'm saying. There was a complaint on John Healds page that they couldn't easily get fried chicken, chicken fingers, and other common American fast food type items onboard. Complained about the food options that you would find in the ports that are visited.
