They generally paint everything when changing the colors. When in port, they just touch up.

Pretty simple, would you want to sell a room that fits 4 to only 2 people? It doesn't make financial sense because there are always people looking for 4 person cabins.

Its pretty hard to paint the entire ship while it is still in service. I am hoping for the same thing. It wouldn't be too difficult to rearrange and put the piano bar over where the library is currently. Just like Panorama and Horizon. They usually keep things quiet until it is closer to the end of dry dock, that way if something happens, and something doesn't get added, people can't whine that they booked for only that reason. Where would you put it?

I agree, I've never felt crowded on the Vista class. I was on the Mardi Gras while sailings were capped at around 60% and I will not do that class of ship again. Even at 60%, the piano bar was over full, the comedy club was always out of room and the line for pizza stretched down to guest services.

Carnival needs to take notes from Royal Caribbean on how to design ships. There is no reason that Mardi Gras should have the same mount of people as the Oasis class, despite being 25-30% smaller.

I love that ship and the 7 day itinerary. I haven't been to La Paz, so I can't comment on there. Mazatlan and Cabo are 2 of my favorite ports.

Since they just barely brought out dates to April 2025, try back in the Sept-November timeframe.

I wouldn't count on more itineraries for Europe. They MIGHT, but it isn't likely.

If they don't give you the option to narrow it down to a free option, that is an issue I would bring up. Maybe post on John Healds page about that. That is definitely something that should be looked at.

Carnival CORPORATION is the parent company to P&O, not Carnival Cruise Line. I think thats where the confusion is.

We had my daughter(14) and son(17) on the same cruise as you. Did you have a creaking noise on the cabana? We did almost every night and everyone in our group had the same issue. We had the 4 cabanas in front of the suites and 2 after the suites on the starboard side.

The XL class is the class that I prefer NOT to sail on again. I just was not a fan and prefer the Vista class.

Since you purchased as part of a package deal, you would have to cancel the internet at the same time.

Personally, I would do the Horizon. Its my favorite ship with plenty to do. The XL class(Mardi Gras) is so spread out and the "showroom" is horrible. We thought they made a mistake with the Vista-class ships and their theater, but the XL made it even worse.

Carnival "subsidizing" the gamblers helps keep the prices down for YOU. The gamblers spend a lot more in the casino than their room would cost so the casino offers them cheap rates to get them onboard.

Balconies in the aft of the ship. Prefer the Aft Extendeds, but on Vista class ships, love the Havana area cabanas.

Carnival was pulling out of San Juan prior to COVID. I've heard a bunch of different rumors. I've heard that San Juan wanted more money from Carnival. I've heard Carnival wanted the port upgraded. I've heard that the ship wasn't filling as much as Carnival liked and they blamed it on the higher airfare to get to San Juan vs Miami or other US ports. I don't think you'll ever get the straight reason.

When? When I was on her in October 2022, they didn't offer anything. They did on the Vista class ships prior to COVID, but have not brought them back that I have seen.

The ships will not show any PPV, however if the UFC fights are on ESPN, they MIGHT, provided it is on the international ESPN feed they get.

Everyone that has "Priority Boarding" is almost 1/4 of the ship. They still have to separate everyone or the priority boarding group would be a mess. The earlier check-in time you get, the better boarding group you get. Right now, you have the 5th group.
