Old Carnival pics? Let's see them.

I remember a few years ago someone posted some old pics of Carnival from way back in the 80's. They were enjoyable to look at. One of them showed guys on the AFT deck shooting Skeet off the back of the ship. Amazing...as I could never see that happening now a days.

Anyhow I thought I would ask and see if anyone has any old Carnival pics they would like to share on this forum. I think many of us would get a kick out of seeing the dated decor and attire from way back when.

Remember when cruise safety drills looked like this (2009 Cruise to Bahamas, can't remember ship).... and people complain about doing them now lol!:')

Our 1st cruise was on the Festivale, got us hooked on cruising. We did everything there was to do, closed down the casino every night, up at the crack of dawn, it was a blast. Number 39 on Carnival coming up in January. We've been on other lines, but we love the Carnival experience.

A few of the copies I have of the "Carnival Capers", which is now the "Fun Times", from our Festivale cruise in 1992. It was a 7 day cruise out of San Juan, PR, on the southern itinerary (San Juan; St. Thomas; St. Maarten/St. Martin; Dominica; Barbados; Martinique; Sea Day; San Juan).

Last post...one more set of the "Carnival Capers". This was the edition for our final day, the sea day. We loved how they had listed at the bottom on the back page all of the other islands we'd be passing, which side of the ship they could be seen from, and the times.

For some reason, I can't seem to find three of the editions (leaving San Juan/sail away information; St. Maarten/St. Martin; and Barbados). Hubby was holding onto all of that stuff then and gave it all to me several years ago when going through some his stuff.

Docked in Nassau (I think)

Carnival's hotel in Nassau, the Crystal Palace. I completely forgot about this hotel. I got stung by a jellyfish there!

Love this thread. Will start looking for one of may favorite cruise pictures . It is on either the Fantasy or Inspiration in 2000. My late husband is on the stairwell in front of the "Topless Deck" sign. I remember that same cruise had some of the most active "horse race" participants ever.

Love it! From the look of the old Capers CCL's entertainment really hasn't changed all that much over the years:).

Maybe a few minor changes...no more "men's nightgown" contest OR beer chugging contest. We saw both and my hubby has the WHOLE men's nightgown contest on video. It was funny then and even funnier when we watched it again a couple of years ago...because of the hairstyles, mullets and lot's of 'em. :')
