OK, I thought this could be a fun and helpful thread.

I would love to see all the THINGS that you have found to bring on the cruise that maybe the next person never thought of. It could be something from the Fun Shops that's a good deal. Or it could be a gadget you found online somewhere that is great when traveling.

A pic, link, or ordering info would be helpful too!

I'll start:

I found these cool luggage tag holders so you can keep your carnival tags neat and don't have to tape or staple! I'm getting these before the next cruise! 511mBs6I0dL.jpg

and I picked up this travel power strip with usb plugs! 6181C7opylL._SL1200_.jpg

What cool item have you found for your cruise?!:)

That is a surge protector and isn't allowed because it's a safety hazard. Perhaps we should start a thread of things not to bring.

That Poweradd 3.4a has a surge protector. From Carnival:

"Electrical devices such as fans, power strips, multi plug box outlets/adaptors, and extension cords (without surge protectors) are allowed on board when used with proper caution.

I am grabbing some magnetic hooks and 2 shower curtains so I can hang the shower curtains from the ceiling and block off an area for the baby to sleep.

Have you done this before? Just wondering. It sounds like a great idea.

I think I might pick up one of these for my next cruise:

Never mind, it has surge protection, how the heck do you delete a post?

Large plastic clothes pins for securing beach towels on windy days and to hang clothes in the room to dry. They have these at dollar tree for a buck

HI Mistyinca :)

My cool item to bring along when sailing is probably considered a little outside

of the box.

We bring a cruise journal.

After our very 1st voyage almost 33 years ago, my wife & I wrote down everything

we experienced when we got home. From our 2nd voyage on, until the present,

we have kept cruise journals.

Prior to going to sleep each evening we discuss the days events, people we met, etc.. etc..and

log them down in the journal.

We have been doing this for over three decades now and have many journals.

The strolls down memory lane are wonderful. In some ways more entertaining

than the photo's or video we have collected over the years.

Even picking out/purchasing the journal prior to the cruise has become

a fun task in itself.

To us, it is another way, an interesting way, to save and also relive the

voyage...

Have a terrific day!

:)

AAA has clear luggage tag holders & bright luggage handle tags you can get for free if you're an AAA member.

Do you have a picture of these perchance?

I've been buying clear luggage tag holders at AAA for years ($3.50 for 2 pk as I recall) but have never noticed any free ones.

We bring games to play. There are all kind of travel games out there. We also bring our own deck of cards.

It is amazing when you find a place to sit and play how many people you attract. Our groups have gone from just DH and myself to 10 to 12 people. It is really fun. That is not counting all the spectators standing around watching and cheering for a winner. Lots of fun.
