Are there single people on cruises?

Carnival use to have a singles get together just after you set sail in the Disco a few years ago. Its a shame they don't do that anymore

Are you looking for a specific age group? There are a lot of single people that cruise...I am one of them also. In fact, I'm going on my first cruise alone (without daughters), on the 15 day Elation repositioning cruise in April.

I love to cruise, but know there will not always someone that can go. I went on my first "solo" cruise last April to see if this was "for me". I had a very good time and will not hesitate to go again. It just worked out that this year my daughter and I are cruising together in May and multiple family members will be cruising together in October.

We cruise a lot my brother comes with us on carnival check out a 1A category cabin. That is what he always gets

Thanks for that info. My sister will be cruising with me in a couple of weeks and for the first time she will be in a cabin by herself. I will tell her about the meeting. She will love it.

I don't consider myself to be single but solo. I cruise alone but am not looking for anyone to share my life with. I just enjoy cruising. I've met some great people on my solo cruises. They are usually couples about my age. Love it!

Yes! And one lady tried to pick up my husband in the buffet line last cruise (we were in different lines)...if she had placed her hands on him one more time there was going to be trouble! :eek:

I am married. I'm not interested in meeting anyone (for anything other than friendship), but I may be sailing alone. I am not giving up this trip, but, I am hesitant to go alone. I love to read and relax, so if nothing else I get a week away from home, work, etc. and to myself just to chill.

I often cruise solo and a great place to make friends is your roll call! The best of both worlds cuz you can do what you like when you like and/or hang out with others if you prefer. You can also make good contacts at your dining room table - solos are usually placed with other single/solo travellers!
