Runner up for Picture of the week. Birthday edition of Not Yo' Momma's Banana Pudding was ready to go when the lack of candles was discovered. Son-in-law Ronnie came to the rescue with matches as stunt-candles.

Spring is springing. I was going to write a poem about these lovely blooms but, well....orange.

Hibiscus do not seem to care much about the seasons ... It's definitely autumn (fall) here in Sydney and these huge blooms are going very strong :)

Second round with Chubby now need to find some flowers or other pretty things to shoot besides my killer dog :D

Bokeh / subject isolation is something this lense produces on FX that can't be reproduced with the smaller sensors, one reason to hit the gym and learn to carry 30lbs of equipment :p

Great photos throughout,

The Zebra reminds me of Marty from Madagascar 2.

Well, the sun came out this Bank Holiday Monday, potted flower in bloom and a nice visitor for them.

I've been enjoying the ridiculously fast and reliable continuous tracking focus on my A6000 mirrorless body, and paired with the lovely FE70-200mm F4 OSS lens - it's been a great pair for bird-in-flight and wildlife photography. Here are some recent shots from the wetlands:

Wood stork coming in to land:

Closeup with a large male green iguana:

Beautiful purple gallinule:

Cattle egret, flying right up close to filling the frame:

I got the chance to play with a tiger cub recently - the tiger kept climbing up on me so I didn't get to shoot as many pictures as I wanted.

This is my favorite shot from that experience.
