Looking at the paws I think in time  Love the look, thinking one day....

Dickie,

Oh he was feisty, even as a cub. One time he hunkered down, wiggled his back hips, and bounded out to jump on me. Even at his small size that was a collision. At that time I was thinking, "in a few months that would collapse my rib cage!"

Here's a shot where he was starting to "stalk" me.

Got to experience the Washington DC cherry blossoms for the first time.

Thank you Sharod. That's a truly stunning shot.

The lighting is unique and I love the way the blossom frames the subject.

Beautiful shots - that's on my bucket list, going to Washington DC in the spring to photograph the cherry blossoms.

Thank you both. It was my first cherry blossom visit. Next year I may try to spend the night there and be there at first light.

Tried a vertical panorama with the nearest tall subject (when it occurred to be to try it).

I may even get a 12x48 pano print made of this...:)

My panos turn out junk.

Couldn't be the camera and lens combo - it being the same as Dave's, so it must be ... :-)

Great shots!

Have you tried Autostitch to assemble your panos? It is free and it does a good job of putting pictures together both horizontally and vertically or a combination of both. You need to make sure that the exposure is the same on all of the photos that you use or they won't look right. In my P&S there was a pano setting that I used. I haven't tried panos with my DSLR yet.

I took this pano with my DSLR, took a lot of processing power for Photoshop to stitch them together, but it's pretty cool. A tripod with a pan head would be useful!

Broke out the 25-yesr-old Minolta macro lens and went through the garden after last night's much-needed rain. Tried a new hand-held method that worked pretty well.
