Randyk47 Posted March 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2011 My wife and I watched her leave this evening via our laptop on the patio. It really was spectacular. Don't know what caused her to leave a little late but it worked out to be beautiful. :)
arzz Posted March 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Thanks for the exquisite video -- I could vicariously wave to my friends on board as she left port -- and wish that I were already on board today instead of April 15! Boy, am I ready to sail now!

bob brown Posted March 13, 2011 #12 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Wonderful video, thanks for link! I never noticed that the Prinsendam has open bridge wings. Looks like a 'real' ship! Wish I lived in one of those condo's with a view at the inlet!:)

Randyk47 Posted March 15, 2011 #20 Share Posted March 15, 2011 ... Hello "Randy" I refer to your question about the late departure of the beautiful MS Prinsendam Following Captains Albert’s blog from 12 March 2011, it was "a sudden increase in the amount of toilet paper being loaded"….;) http://www.hollandamericablog.com/albert/ Happy cruising G E R D Thanks Gerd! That's funny that Prinsendam was around an hour late getting out of Ft Lauderdale because of toilet paper being loaded (though he does mention other provisions). :) It made for a beautiful sail away from the port cam point of view. I noticed watching it live that there weren't a lot of people on deck but thought maybe they'd had to start dinner on top of it getting dark. Our cruise in a week plus will be the first time we've sailed out of Ft Lauderdale since they changed the US daylight savings time to earlier in March. Should be pretty much full sun if we leave at the scheduled 5 PM. That'll be nice but we've also had some beautiful sunsets off the stern as we left port.
