Statendam leaving San Diego this evening

It is a great pic.

For everyone's reference, the pier/terminal is to the left of the pic.

The gray square thing right at the stern of the ship is the Midway. The pink building above the gray square thing is the Embassy Suites, which is 5-6 blocks from the pier.

The other two buildings are hotels that are part of the Convention Center, which are 3 or 4 blocks past the Embassy Suites.

You got it! :) Thanks for pointing it all out. The two very large hotels directly behind Statendam are the Hyatt Regency Hotel and the two smaller shiny building to the right are the Marriott and both are the convention center hotels as pointed out. Just to the right of the Marriott you can see the "sails" of the convention center.

Here's a couple more of the Statendam yesterday as it is backing out and turning around.

And this last one is of the Carnival Spirit still waiting to depart. Statendam left a few minutes early but Spirit blew it's horns a couple times and then did not leave so I went home.

We just spent 28 wonderful days on the Statendam Nov25-Dec23, San Diego to Ft Lauderdale and back. She's a beautiful, classic cruise liner and immaculately kept although she does have a few, well-documented issues with plumbing and air-conditioning and yes, we experienced both! Mind you, the staff onboard went out of their way to resolve the problems. We'll cruise on her again in a heartbeat!
