Cruisingbart Posted November 28, 2012 #50 Share Posted November 28, 2012 I am sure that the OP has an agenda as he is a true critic of Reflection in particular. With regards to no nautical heritage onboard, the OP is incorrect. The S-Class vessels have plenty of details reminding of the good old days of Transatlantic crossings and ships, including the funnel design, which is a typical design found from the 50's to the 80's, especially the double stack. They are modelled to ms. Britanis, one of Chandris most beloved vessels. There is also still bass, decorative portholes etc. all over the ship, the ship has a very nautical art deco style, and if one is knowledgeable about the Transatlantic liner era, one will agree that the interiours of all Celebrity vessels are much more similar to that era than the bland interiours of for example Princess. Ships evolve, that is mostly a good thing. what Celebrity is doing is giving their vessels a contemporary look, without being too modern for the Very Classic American taste, and keeping nautical hints.
