Do the room stewards load the toilet paper "over" or "under"?

Recommended Posts

OMG!!! My vacation is ruined! My toilet paper did NOT come OVER the roll!! Consequently, I had no little triangle fold! I'm sending a letter to Adam Goldstein about this. I saved for years to be able to afford this cruise, and my cabin steward RUINED it because the toilet paper was practically unusable.

I am not so concerned about whether the roll is over or under. An improperly installed roll can be easily remidied by the maintenance staff (I have had to make this call a time or two).

My concern is that I will not receive 2 ply extra soft. As a C&A Pinnacle member I expect this request to be accommodated and that a little man be supplied to assist for when I do my necessary "business". I also expect that he will have small, well manicured hands and a delicate touch.

I wiped on my own for the first 800 days at sea, now it's time to enjoy the services entitled to me.

Plus, during Diamonds in December, you need a special Royal Treatment when on the throne.:D

Amusing yes. I actually heard a long time ago that the "proper" way is to load the roll so the paper is "over". This is confirmed by the fact that paper with a printed pattern only has the print on the "outside" of the paper, thus if it were installed the other way, the print on the paper hanging down would not be visible.

This is the most logical answer I have seen.

:D

I won't cruise with RCL again until they get with the times and load the toilet paper as "over" in ALL bathrooms aboard ship. I went to use the Men's room near the casino on Monarch several months ago and the roll was loaded "under". It made the casino completely unusable for me, making the extra money I spent gambling a complete waste. When I complained to Guest Services, they acted as if they didn't care. Apparently, loading the toilet paper "under" is prohibited in many bathrooms aboard the ship, however, unfortunately, it's allowed in the casino bathrooms.

I mentioned this unacceptable practice on my comment card too. But, months later, I have yet to receive anything for free from the company.

From what I understand, Celebrity and Princess both have a ship-wide policy of "over" for all bathroom toiler paper holders, including the casinos. I guess I'll be sailing them from now on.

These are fun.:D
