It is "Unbelievable" and to imagine that only few weeks ago she was in two mega floating blocks with other blocks waiting in Hall 6. And now the block assembly is complete. Very, very efficient I would say.

Also, when does Quantum III (Ovation???) build get underway and what does that schedule look like?

Is it just me or does no one see an anchor? How do they go to sea without the anchors. In the at dock pictures, no anchors are seen either.

She looks great out at sea.

She does not have an anchor installed right now but she does have one. Maybe it will be installed soon. They could have left if off due to weight but I am not sure. A few pages back there are photos of the chain and anchor on the dock floor while she was in the building dock. By the way some of the new ships can stay in one place without an anchor using GPS. You will see this practice in areas were ships are not allowed to drop anchor. I recall being on Mariner OTS and the Captain talked about it.

These black boxes are the back sides of the anchors. The anchors are integrated into the hull. They were installed at the yard and are already tested there.

You are quite correct, It is called DPS ( dynamic positioning system ?) when they use the GPS

to stay still. That was one of the things I remembered from the bridge tour:D

You aren't the only one. I have exactly 100 days until I'm stepping foot on her and let me tell you. I've NEVER wanted winter to come so badly in my life so I can cruise again. I'm just praying that we don't get a storm the day we drive down. But then again, this is New England. If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes.

The question: is it low quality paint or a hull design failure that the anchors scratch the surface? And since we can't change on Anthem, it needs to be changed on Ovation ;)
