We're booked and paid in full for our 1st TA and celebrating our 45th anniversary. Selected this sailing to return to some places we've enjoyed, see new things, and meet the lovely people we've shared the past year with on CC. We also love the food, the great martini's, and the wonderful crew members who serve us all.

We've found that when you look for good things and nice people, you tend to find them.

Hope you all find what you're looking for on the Royal.

I'm thinking now 14 days won't be enough! :D I'm glad that I've booked Regal Princess for January 2015. Might have to turn that into a B2B as well. ;)

curious about spa treatments...in the past if you booked a spa treatment you were able to use the retreat area free for the day...is this still true on Royal?

I know if you are referring to the Retreat Pool it's at the front of the ship and is The Adult Pool area and is free. The Sanctuary is all the way forward and is the fee paid area. I think I have seen $15.00 for 1/2 day and 25.00 for all day.

I think I saw a post from someone that said you could use the Enclave the same day you had a spa treatment. Hopefully someone that knows will jump in to clarify.

See the updated list below thanks to our friend Dave!!

Basically all that was done was eliminate the ones that were duplicates and added more in their place, so there are quite a few new items mixed in with the old ones too. :D

But will it cost $50/pp to sit there in the evening, also?

There is no charge for the Retreat Pool area, night or day! If you want a cabana, you pay for the cabana. $25.00 for half day, $50.00 for whole day.

Don't confuse the Sanctuary with the Retreat. That is a charge everyday, all day.

I thought the "Chill" area was the Cabana area!

Are the lights and music in the whole Retreat area?

(I guess it would be hard to limit where the music reaches but I somehow pictured the lighting just inside the Cabanas) :o

The Chill Lounge should be free and I suspect the Cabanas won't have a charge during the Chill Lounge hours either. The Cabana charges in the Retreat Pool area have only been announced for morning and afternoons, not evenings.

Retreat Pool – Adjacent to The Sanctuary, the Retreat Pool will offer an exclusive area for adults to relax and rejuvenate. The Retreat Pool on Royal Princess will offer more space and seating than the adult pools on other Princess vessels, plus add new Retreat Cabanas that can be reserved for an enhanced experience. These cabanas are the perfect way to enjoy private space poolside, or even add the indulgence of one of the ship's special picnic baskets. The Retreat Pool is open to all adults, and Retreat Pool Cabana rental will be available beginning at $50 for a half day.
