“Live” from the "Enchantment of the Seas" July 19-26,2013 Back-2-Back

Recommended Posts

Thank you so much for doing a live report, I know how much work that can be. I envy you doing a B2B, it must feel really great when the ship pulls back in and you know your aren't going anywhere but back out to sea again. :D

Maybe someday I can do that.

And then the rains let loose and everyone went running for cover..

We are delaying departure till the storm ends, Captain Shaw just announced.

Not that I'm suggesting this, but if you didn't buy the soda package for the second leg, I bet you can still use your soda cup since the chip doesn't expire until August. Just sayin

Almost time for dinner. Heading off yo charge my phone in case I need to take pictures later this evening. Not sure yet what I'll be doing. Well they are having that "Silent Party" again tonight in the Viking Crown Lounge for an hour and will certainly be there for that.

thank you so much for the review -

Speaking of coffee - do they have the counter with the coffee and deserts and sometimes they have little sandwiches.

On our other cruises with the promanade they had the counter with that. We would always get some cookies or snack to take to the room with us later at night.

Not the starbucks that you pay for -

Really enjoying your review and can't wait to be on one week from today!! Could you do me a really big favor? I have been trying to find the cruise compass for the Teen group and have not been able to find one anywhere. Do you think you could get a hold of one and post it? I think it's only two pages for the whole week. I'm trying to schedule things so that me teenager can participate in most of the teen activities. I would really appreciate it.

The only other changes I remember from the 2005 upgrades are the bungee trampolines and the kids splash zone.

Sorry to hijack for a minute. jrmama - how old is your teenager? We are on next Monday too and I have two daughters, one 12 and one 17.

Back to the regular topic.

Thanks so much for posting as it is making me VERY excited to get on the boat!!

Good Evening!

It's been a great evening aboard the Enchantment of the Seas despise the damp start we had. After sail away I managed to grab a good Starbucks coffee, was good to have a good cup of coffee. During my first leg that's one thing I had not indulged on. Made my way to dinner and had dinner with a new group of cruisers and new wait staff. My wait stuff was full up with tables at the time. We had one newlywed couple that were just married from Idaho, another young couple from South Carolina, mother and daughter from Jacksonville and an elderly gentleman from San Francisco. Once we all warmed up we had some great dinner conversation and a great time was had by all.

Tonight's menu...

Tonight's dessert menu. I only show this because it has carrot cake on it and the three day cruise does not offer this. On my Jewel of the Seas cruises in April this was offered on the first night too. It's so good but only offered one night.

Heading to the silent party later and will most likely make a donation to the casino too. The first three nights I only donated $40. Will most likely close the night in the Viking Crown Lounge followed by the traditional evening walk above deck to enjoy the breeze, motion of the ocean and the sound of the waves.

A really nice view of us leaving Port Canaveral.

As you know I moved rooms, moved one room over. On my new room I can hear the walking on tile floor above. My guess is lady's in long heeled shoes. My room right next door I did not hear this. At the conclusion of the trip I'll advise my room numbers so those will know if such noise would really bother you.

That's all four now, looking forward to my 4th night at sea and going back to Coco Cay tomorrow.

Till a later time "Live" from the Enchantment of the Seas..

I was on Enchantment back in April and the silent party was a blast! I hope they will make it a fleet wide event because it was so much fun. I was on Oasis in May and was disappointed that they did not have the silent party. I know it would be a big expense to buy headphones for that many ships, but it was the highlight of my Enchantment cruise!

Good Morning!

Welcome to day five, day two from Enchantment of the Seas!

Last night was a great night with a great vibe throughout the ship for the first cruise night. One thing I'd like to note is this group seems to be more drinkers from the get go, but I attribute that to the drink package being available. With that said it seems like there are more kids on this cruise compared to the last. If I think of it I'll ask the stats between the two.

Last night I enjoyed some time in Casino Royal making an unwanted donation end enjoyed the silent party which was well attended. Wasn't quite as busy as the last cruise though.

Today's going to be another great day in Coco Cay and I'll be doing a whole lot of nothing similar to on Sunday. Keep your fingers crossed a storm doesn't roll thru and we get evacuated off the island.

My plan is to arrive at the island fairly early much like Sunday to avoid the rush hour and get back to the ship before the return rush hour. :-)

First tender went ashore around 830, the last tender back to the ship will be at 430. This morning i ordered room service and then I'll make my way to Coco Cat. Will that's all for now.
