After reading through the tips on the general CC board, I was shocked to find something that I didn't know regarding where to look for fun freebies! Has anyone ever had anything left for them purposefully by former room occupants? Just wondering........

Back in the days of drink coupons, we bought some and slipped them behind the artwork in the cabin and told the next occupants where to look. We found out, who had our cabin after us, on Cruise Critic. It was great fun to see if they got them. They did!!!!:D

We always leave a note in the cabin for the next group of cruisers......we usually tape it in one of the drawers or inside the safe. We leave our first names and my e-mail address. We have been contacted after 9 of our 12 cruises....where we left a note.

It's just fun to see if you will hear back from the next family in the cabin

This is a neat idea! I suppose if the room stewards see this stuff they intentionally leave it... I guess you could tell them "Hey - I'm leaving this stuff, please don't throw it out!" I'll have to think of something to leave next time!!

Personally I'm not too keen having things in my cabin from the previous occupants. I hope they follow the directions from their managers as to what to do with such trinkets.

A draw full of clothes tells me they are incompetent.

We found some jelly beans rolling around under the bed and threw them away before I slipped on them in the middle of the night stumbling to the bathroom. Also found a nice garment bag in one of the closets which we turned in at Guest Relations.

If anyone wants to leave me some drink coupons, feel free, I'll certainly use them (thank you in advance)!!

We had a male thong under the bed.

We found a open condom wrapper in the drawer by the bed... EWWWW...

actually picked it up with TP and took it to guest services... along with the contact lens that was in the drinking glass in the bathroom... only had this happen once in all of our cruises...

We also found a 100 dollar casino chip in the safe under the cloth that you can lift up while checking to make sure nothing of ours got pushed under there. We did not turn it in, as it would go to lost and found... ummmm.... sure.... you could not be sure who left it behind... it could have been from one cruise back to many cruises back... but sure it wasn't left on purpose... probably someone had a little too much to drink and forgot where they put it...

The previous occupants might have thought that the next person may have a sweet tooth, and left a snack gift :eek:

We found a wallet with $365 and credit cards DL etc in it standing up on its side inside the open safe. Brought it down to GS. Left our contact info and received ancient note from the owners

Why take the condom wrapper to the service desk.. I would of just threw it away.. So you took the condom to the guest service desk and not the 100 dollar chip.... WOW if you gonna take a condom should of took the chip..

I sadly found someone's magnets they had bought because if you overfill the drawers things will fall behind. I couldn't close the drawer because it was jammed.

We also had a cabin agreement with posters to leave unused cruise coupons hidden in the cabin.

I left behind a not so great surprise when I bought a huge seashell. Something died in that shell - in the cabin.
