hawaiideb Posted September 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2013 After reading through the tips on the general CC board, I was shocked to find something that I didn't know regarding where to look for fun freebies! Has anyone ever had anything left for them purposefully by former room occupants? Just wondering........
crusinpsychRN Posted September 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2013 3 paperbacks in the little bedside cabinet. After reading them, I left 2 and took the 3rd to finish it then I left it on my next cruise. ADoes a piece of pepperoni on the carpet count? pungo3 Posted September 13, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2013 Back in the days of drink coupons, we bought some and slipped them behind the artwork in the cabin and told the next occupants where to look. We found out, who had our cabin after us, on Cruise Critic. It was great fun to see if they got them. They did!!!!:D

Kfoot Posted September 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 13, 2013 Never found anything. But then again I never really look around. Could be interesting some of the things people would leave behind. Maybe some I wish I didn't find
aggieastrosfan Posted September 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 14, 2013 I found a dirty sock under the bed on our last cruise, does that count? I threw it away, and the cabin steward took it out and put it on the bed. Thankfully he got the message when I put it back in the trash! cruiser gilly Posted September 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 14, 2013 I found a bottle of wine in the closet while looking for an extra blanket. I never did drink it and left it in the same place for the next passengers.
pwrdwnsys Posted September 14, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 14, 2013 I've left drink coupons (soda and alcohol) coupons behind for the next guest after the Breeze transatlantic.

wrigley80 Posted September 14, 2013 #13 Share Posted September 14, 2013 We always leave a note in the cabin for the next group of cruisers......we usually tape it in one of the drawers or inside the safe. We leave our first names and my e-mail address. We have been contacted after 9 of our 12 cruises....where we left a note. It's just fun to see if you will hear back from the next family in the cabin
cajun traveler01 Posted September 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted September 14, 2013 I left my coupons for drinks in the bible on my last cruise. I had heard about this on a previous post I've seen here..
gusandgidgetsmom Posted September 14, 2013 #15 Share Posted September 14, 2013 On the Triumph we found all our drawers filled with goodies from the last occupant. He left all the drawers filled with his clothes. Great cleaning by the stewards! Don't think this is what you are referring to tho I imagine! Dare2Believe Posted September 14, 2013 #16 Share Posted September 14, 2013 This is a neat idea! I suppose if the room stewards see this stuff they intentionally leave it... I guess you could tell them "Hey - I'm leaving this stuff, please don't throw it out!" I'll have to think of something to leave next time!! Personally I'm not too keen having things in my cabin from the previous occupants. I hope they follow the directions from their managers as to what to do with such trinkets. A draw full of clothes tells me they are incompetent.
tattoos Posted September 14, 2013 #18 Share Posted September 14, 2013 We found some jelly beans rolling around under the bed and threw them away before I slipped on them in the middle of the night stumbling to the bathroom. Also found a nice garment bag in one of the closets which we turned in at Guest Relations. If anyone wants to leave me some drink coupons, feel free, I'll certainly use them (thank you in advance)!! cruzn buckeye Posted September 14, 2013 #19 Share Posted September 14, 2013 We had a male thong under the bed. We found a open condom wrapper in the drawer by the bed... EWWWW... actually picked it up with TP and took it to guest services... along with the contact lens that was in the drinking glass in the bathroom... only had this happen once in all of our cruises... We also found a 100 dollar casino chip in the safe under the cloth that you can lift up while checking to make sure nothing of ours got pushed under there. We did not turn it in, as it would go to lost and found... ummmm.... sure.... you could not be sure who left it behind... it could have been from one cruise back to many cruises back... but sure it wasn't left on purpose... probably someone had a little too much to drink and forgot where they put it... Why take the condom wrapper to the service desk.. I would of just threw it away.. So you took the condom to the guest service desk and not the 100 dollar chip.... WOW if you gonna take a condom should of took the chip..

lazygal Posted September 14, 2013 #25 Share Posted September 14, 2013 I sadly found someone's magnets they had bought because if you overfill the drawers things will fall behind. I couldn't close the drawer because it was jammed. We also had a cabin agreement with posters to leave unused cruise coupons hidden in the cabin. I left behind a not so great surprise when I bought a huge seashell. Something died in that shell - in the cabin.
