Hi,

 

Looking for current officers on the Star.

Any information would be helpful.

 

We sail next Sunday & this will be our umpteenth cruise on the Star.

 

I've heard interesting rumors, but will keep my mouth shut……:rolleyes:

I have to put in a good word for David Contreras - one of our favorite concierges. I think he is still on the Pearl, but will go to the Epic soon.

I am happy for Yannis - he will be close to home. :)

I am sad for us. :(

We were so so looking forward to seeing Yannis.

He deserves a permanent HD. We think he is great.

 

I thought Captain Fafalos was there and we are thrilled.

He is one of our favorite Captains.

You have filled in a lot of other blanks.

I found out that Lorena (Asst. CD) has moved to the Epic - lucky them, sad for us.

Thanks, we had the same wonderful crew on the Jan 19-26, 2014 sailing and they were amazing. Most fun crew I have ever sailed with. Especially, Messiah! We loved him!

Hi,

 

It helps if you mention the ship when you are answering posts.

It saves on the confusion when several ships are being discussed.

 

The Bar manager on the Jewel is Katya.

She is awesome.

 

Our friend Chariz - she used to be the HD Secretary - works in Guest Services and she knows all on the ship.

We email frequently, so I can get information from her, but only when she is in a port with free wi-fi.

 

We are leaving tomorrow on the Star, so no chance to contact her for at least a week.

 

BTW - the Jewel will change home port to Houston in the fall. I can't wait!

We just have to find time to sail on her!

 

I will report back on Hugo (HD) and his gang on the Star.

Did you ever sail with Captain Lars Bengtsson either on The Pearl or The Spirit? This Lars is from Sweden with all three sons employed by Norwegian. His youngest Robin and Robin's wife are both on the Star in Shore Excursions.

In November 2013, I noted for the 2013 Staff Thread that it was very difficult to keep track of the fleet without re-reading the entire thread every time you needed the info. So, I suggested we try to update the old and current info at least once a month if not a week.

 

But, it was too difficult to go back 10 months for only 2 more months.

 

So, if everyone (who PC literate enough to do it) were to cut and paste the Fleet list when posting changes , it would make the list more usable.

Yes, Mary. My apologies. I was quoting a previous poster but the header and part of the message did not follow through. I contacted Group Coordinator as part of our M&G planning, and like to learn about the senior management, and those likely to make an appearance.

 

So far, I have found lots of good interviews at Beyond Ships as well as a cool Wikipedia article about The Free State of Bavaria, so I can have something to discuss with Messiah Ratzinger besiders weisswurst :D

 

Will try harder to place ship name in both header and body of post in future!

The Getaway is NOW Sean's ship. A normal vacation is 2 months, so he should be back the first part of June.
