Does RCCL have a happy hour like Princess did? For $2.99 you could get a Long Island Iced tea, Singapore Sling and one other. Yes, they weren't strong, but we enjoyed it.

None that I am aware of. C&A members who attend special events get some free choices.

It varies by ship. I have seen two for one margaritas and martinis at specific bars at specific times. I have also seen reduced price or two for one bloody marys and belinis.

Every hour in DL and CL are happy hour!! :D

For us every hour of everyday on a cruise is a happy one.

 

Now hum the tune I'm so happy, because I'm happy..:D

Check your printed Cruise Compass; sometimes you can get a 2 for 1 deal (like in the Windjammer at lunch) but the price won't be 2.99.

I've never seen a "happy hour" special. They have "drink of the day"...but I don't like them!

 

RCI pours STRONG drinks....you will get your money's worth!

Just off Oasis 2 weeks ago, they had a 2 hour 50% off Happy Hour at all bars one day. It was good for any mixed drinks but did not include wine or beer.

Check the cruise compass. Usually there is a happy hour and then a later happy hour in the casino. $2.99 on RC isn't happening though.

They had one on our last cruise from 5-6 every night. I think most non-frozen drinks were included.

Just wondering what people's opinion were of the Drinks of the Day. Are they a good bargain? On Carnival they seemed to be too weak to be worth it to me. Wondering if it's the same on Royal. TIA

Seen various special offers in the compass on different ships e.g. BOGOF Margaritas on Freedom from On Air Club between certain hours. Have to scan the compass carefully, it's not always in large print :D

They had this on the EN last May but it was only good in the Schooner Bar and Boleros and it was only held on one day, I think it was the sea day but not positive.

They weren't advertized on Navigator. They had them out in the mornings until about 11am. The first half of the week they were offering them at the table where they were selling the drink packages, the second half they were set up outside Vintages.

I have seen Bloody Mary offers from 09:30 to 11 on occasion.

 

Beer bucket special has been targeted. On Liberty they offered for instance last month, 'Buy 5 American Light Beers, get one free' offer. This was available at pool bar.

 

20% off Martini specials have been showing up at one venue from 5:30 to 7:30

 

20% off Martini and Champagne Cocktail special has show from 10 pm to Midnight at one venue.

 

Casino bars have been running 'buy one get one 50%' offers from 11Pm to Midnight.

 

Vintages has 'wine tasting' and 'martini' tasting for fee.

 

Some ships have 'Mixology' classes that include sampling all drinks for fee.

 

(note, by 'one venue', I mean the offer is targeted to get traffic to a single bar on the ship and not offered ship wide and is indicated in the 'Today's Activities' section of the cruise compass now.

I had been leaning toward the Premium package but now leaning towards not getting it. Seems like the closest I've come is to breaking even on the Prem package so with these specials - maybe I won't get it and won't be forced to feel like I need to get my money's worth.

 

Still wondering about the DOD. On Carnival they seemed like they didn't have much alcohol so not worth the calories. :rolleyes:

Years ago, the drink of the day was a good deal as far as cost. You could ask for the drink without the souvenir glass and save a couple of bucks. However, that has changed, you don't save any money by getting the drink without the souvenir glass, and the drink price is no great deal either.
