Do people share drinks packages?

Recommended Posts

By google 375mls [a can here] is 12. something US oz so about the same size, no wonder some are arcing up over $2.95 whereas I find it OK.

Are they glass bottles or plastic just curious.

Plastic bottles. The only glass bottles of Coke I see anymore are the real sugar ones from Mexico. Those are about $2.50 per 12oz (or maybe less) bottle.

Maybe off topic, but if you want Coke from a plastic bottle with real sugar look for the Yellow cap. It is the same as "Mexican" coke and is usually out in March and April in 2L bottles, Kosher for Passover.

I think a cruise vacation is a great bargain. You can get an inside cabin guarantee on many sailings at the last minute for $100 a day per person. Not all ships, and not all sailings. You get unlimited food, entertainment, twice a day cabin cleaning, and a lot more. Most good hotels in major cities such as NY charge at least $350 per day without food or entertainment. You do not need a drink package as you have many free options.

IMO a great inexpensive vacation, compares to a wonderful resort filled with options. cruise .

I know I'm thick but what do you mean "Real Sugar" here we have Coke made with sugar, diet coke with aspartame or something like that, coke zero with artificial sweetner, and caffeine free diet coke.

You're fortunate then. All our non-Mexican Coke has High Fructose Corn Syrup instead of sugar.

Hi, As a first time cruiser,I'm on Mariner out of Singapore early next year.

My wife and I have purchased the alcohol package(Yes two packages)..

Just two questions please.

I read where people mentioning bring drinks back to the cabin.

So it's okay to grab a beer and a champagne and wander back to the cabin with it?

Also if we are seated in a lounge and being a gentleman,I would normally let my wife relax and I would bring back two drinks. Please tell me both of us aren't required to request a drink each time at the bar?

Or do I just need to take both seapasses up to the bar to get around this?

Thanks.

We haven't been on Mariner but never had a problem taking a drink back to the cabin and can't imagine you will have.

Take both Sea passes and get two drinks again never been a problem because I have a disability my wife will often take my pass and get me a drink even on cruises that she hasn't had a drinks package.

Yes, no problem bringing drinks or bottles of wine back to the stateroom. The bartenders are normally allowing you to get two drinks if you present two SeaPass cards.

Welcome to CC and to cruising! As Bob said its fine to take a drink back to your cabin. You can take them anywhere you like on the ship, such as to the shows to dinner or casino etc.

We cruised out of Singapore last year and it was amazing. If you're able you might like to spend 2 or 3 days in Singapore before the cruise. We really enjoyed the zoo and the hop-on hop-off bus.

One of the pleasures of cruising is relaxing in a bar & having the drink waiter serve you- no need to go to the bar at all. If you frequent a bar or two for the cruise, they get to know you & will look after you. Ahhh, 23 more sleeps for us :D

And BekkaW - I agree, Singapore was great ( we did the night zoo, the big wheel & the aquaduck) & the Voyager cruise to Sydney was a wonderful trip.

Read this entire thread! Ok, my wife doesn't drink at all, but I buy the premium package. What I do all the time is order my drink and then order her usual pineapple juice at the same time. Sometimes the bartender charges me and sometimes they don't. I'm not trying to get over on RC because it's just not worth it for me. I like peace of mind when I'm on vacation.

For the people that do share packages, the only reason why they do it is they know they can get away with it. Obviously if they knew they'd get caught they wouldn't do it. It's all about the opportunity like it is with any crime committed no matter how small the crime is or how big it is. I also have kids and I know my kids like every parent should know their kids. So you know what they are going to need and want prior to the cruise. So that's not a valid excuse to abuse the system either.

I will continue to pay for my package and pay for whatever my wife drinks because that's what I want to do. Peace of mind is what I crave in life and on cruises.

Flatbush Flyer, I didnt suggest anything  At NO point did I suggest people steal.

Flatbush and the rest of them can't distinguish between a discussion point and their holier than thou attitudes.

Save the preaching for church all of you.
