It's The Little Things...

It's the little things in life that I enjoy the most. I don't try to hunt out and find problems. Life is just too short.

One of the little things I enjoy about Carnival cruise ships is...

  • The tissues at the exits of the public restrooms so you don't have to touch a potentially germ infested door handle with your freshly washed hands, and the trash can for the tissues outside that door.

What are the little things about Carnival that you enjoy?

All the dessert choices at the buffet - something for everyone.

I love the iced tea mixed with a little lemonade.

I love that there is always a quiet place to sit and read or just people watch.

I've been on 13 cruises (6 with Carnival) and Carnival is by far, my favorite.

I would rather see the tissues outside the doors. MOST people wash their hands and then exit. No one washes their hands before pushing the door open! Think of all those hands (and where they have been) and then reaching out to push open the door. :p Just one of those things to think about when drifting off to sleep! :p:D

With that pleasant thought I will say that we are going on our 12th Carnival cruise in November so I guess there are enough things, big and small, that keep me coming back. And yes, we tried 2 others. ;)

24 hour free room service.

Being addressed by name in the casino.

The cocktail servers in the casino knowing what I drink and making sure I am never empty.

Towel animals and turn down service.

People genuinely trying to make sure you have a good time.

I will say it is tough coming back to your local casual dining restaurant after a cruise and dealing with the I don't give a s*** attitude of the staff.

I might be in the minority but.....the dancing at dinner. Each time I inwardly roll my eyes and say to myself, 'here we go again'. However, about 1 minute in, I'm smiling and clapping my hands and having a good old time! It is nice to be in a roomful of seemingly happy people.

How the dining room wait staff knows everyone by name! I could never do that. Once at a table for 8, we tried to figure out how they remember. After about 3 nights, everyone decided to switch seats. Those waiters went to everyone, and said " I see that you switched with so-and-so tonight. we cracked up. :D

I know, right? And the last laugh was on us, because they knew exactly what we did right away. They never hesitated at all. This was an all girl table, so there were 8 women all switched around. Did not phase them not one bit. They had to laugh at our faces when we realized they got us good. :D

That seems like such a waste. Your hands will be subject to germs while in the bathroom doing your business anyhow. Do you not wash your hands after using the restroom?

The tissues are for you to use to hold the handle with when you open the door after you have washed your hands. So you have a barrier between clean hands and dirty door.
