NEW Suite Upgrades....

Recommended Posts

I may be in the minority but I hope they don't add any perks that I now have the option to buy. Keep the cabin price reasonable and my options open.. Some things I would enjoy would be having the suites ready for occupancy at noon, having a boarding day gold card lunch buffet and having priority luggage delivery.

Suites ready early sounds good, but I don't see it working in most cases because the suites are mixed in on the same decks as ordinary cabins. No access point seperate from masses. It could work on deck 17 of Oasis, but that's about it.

Yes the type of cancel and rebooking you mention above WOULD cause you to loose your free flights and preminum drink package offering from the original sales promotion. Sorry.....

The Owners and Grand Suites on the Vision, Radiance, Voyager and Freedom Class ships are all located on the top passenger deck so expedited luggage delivery should not be a major problem.. An inside muster drill seating area for suite guests would also be nice.

I can see the luggage delivery working. Who gets inside muster in Freedom now? I've had it a couple of times but I can't remember what deck or section of the ship had that.

Everything that I have seen or read indicates that the new suite program is for Oasis and Quantum class ships and not the rest of the fleet. Has there been added information released by RCCL that is not reflected on their web site?

No change to the information about the new Royal Suite Class. If you read back on this thread the posts you're quoting are in reference to several posts about the possibility/feasibility of adding some Suite perks on ships other than Oasis and Quantum class.

If it's true that early bookings get the new perks congrats to all that booked early. I should of figured royal would of implement this after spring break. But we'll see if it's true or not.

You still don't believe us do you? It's true, trust us.:D

On Celebrity, a Butler escorts you to your cabin as they are ready. They get notified on their onboard phone or radios to come to the suite lounge and take guests to their cabins ahead of the "all ready".

I would think they would have similar duties with the RCL program.

We are in a 2 bedroom aquatheatre suite january 2017 when the new rollout is in place... so, we are in star class. My question is if you have family and friends in sky or sea class suites or in say a balcony and you would like them to join you for dinner in your suite , how does that work? Likewise if we have a special gathering on our deck and want to invite a couple of people, how does that work if you want appetizers and drinks for all that are in the aquasuite and the couple that are not??? Nobody may know since its not really rolled out but since there has been a suite class already on rci im assuming something is somewhat already in place and im probably not tbe only one that has asked this question.

In the future this would be handled by your 'Royal Genie'

The issue with drinks will have to be determined by a future policy on how many and what 'guests' are allowed to benefit from the services of the Royal Genie.

Dinner or another meal will most likely not be a problem.

At this point dinner is handled by room service and if you have others joining you, you just place the order from the suite where you want the delivery.

Are the suite perks given to all passengers booked in the cabin? I have a 2 bedroom Aqua Suite booked and I will be the only "adult" I am taking my 18 year old gd and a few of her friends for their senior year trip as her graduation present from me (the other girls are paying their share!). While I know the 18 year olds will not be able to drink alcohol....do you think the soda or replenish package will be included for them as well as tips?

I don't see why not. My DS will be 9 when he gets to sail in the Star Class and I don't see why he wouldn't have access to all the legally elligble perks.

At Celebrity this is exactly what they do. Premium package's for all in the eligible cabin, unless under 18 then the highest non-alcoholic package is given to them.

On Celebrity the in-room dining in suites is ordered from either room service menu or the MDR menu of the night - NOT from the suite dining room or any of the for fee outlets.

TO arrange it, the Butler ("Genie") will take your orders, and the meal is delivered all at once, but served course by course but he butler. They do not care who eats that dinner - suite guests or not - as they know suite guests entertain, and the PH on Celebrity seats 8-10 people even though the cabin sleeps only 4 max.

As to hosting gathering, on Celebrity, again just talk to butler, let them know how may people and they will lay out plates of appetizers that vary based on suite category, sometimes just cheese platters and fruit, cookies, and shrimp cocktail. PH can often get hot appetizers. None of this is billed to the guest. Beverages are limited to water, tea, coffee, juice. When I host a gathering, I tip extra cash to the butler foe each event. Often Butler will provide as his gift a bottle or 2 of wine and champagne, but this is not standard. I have hosted 70-100 people in PH and RS on Celebrity ships and these gatherings have been memorable for all who attended. The Butlers love handling these parties, its fun for them too. The Michael's Club Concierge will even print and deliver invitations if asked, though I always bring my own pre-preinted before sailing.

For any room service, other beverages are not included, even with a drink package, so beverages other than what I note above will be charged to SeaPass accounts.

If course, we have no idea what RCL will do, but as Bailey started it at X, I assume the jist is to mirror the programs to the extent each brand and ship can.

We are on Indy next year, but i can't see how the upgrades will be applied to classes other that Oasis or Quantum class.

They won't. The new "Suite Class" program will not be extended to any other ships. It will roll out in May 2016 for just the Quantum and Oasis Class ships in the fleet. Sorry.....

Cle-guy,

Is the Lounge access 24hr?

Do they serve drink other than the Happy hours?

... Thanks! Can you tell me how you tip a butler through your stay? What are some things that you have, ask or expect of a butler?
