Hello!

I have a question for everyone.

Do you have a Cruising Bucket List?

If you do please comment and list what they are and why.

Here is mine. Very long!

- South Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam)

- North Asia (China, South Korea, Japan)

- Circumnavigation of Australia (Including Tasmania)

- New Zealand

- South Pacific

- Transpacific

- Hawaii (from LA)

- Alaska

- Pacific Coastal

- Panama Canal

- Cape Horn+ Antarctica

- South America (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay)

- Southern Caribbean

- B2B from Florida

- Bahamas

- 7 Night Bermuda from New York

- Canada/NE (One-way from Quebec to Bayonne on a decent ship)

- Transatlantic

- Norway and Iceland

- Arctic Circle

- Eastern Med from Venice

- Suez Canal

- Middle East

We can only cruise at summer just now but once the kids are older, there's no holding back!

1. Extended cruise to the Eastern & Southern Caribbean to revisit the ports I have loved (St. Thomas, St.Martin, Aruba, Curacao) and visit those I have not seen (Including St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Antigua),

2, Mediterrainean Cruise.

3, Hawaii

4. European river cruise

Yep.

After our first cruise a circumnavigation of Australia was the first thing to go on it.

In 71 days it can be crossed off and we can start work on the others that have been added since.

I have been fortunate to check off a few on my cruise bucket list in recent years, namely:

-Eastern Med

-Trans-Atlantic on QM2

Those that remain include:

-Norwegian fjords

-Canary Islands

-Western Med

-Canary Islands

-A trans-Atlantic including either Madeira or the Azores.

I've been blessed, as I've cruised to just about everywhere I care to go. I have visited all seven continents, and sailed all seven seas. Now, it's just a matter of picking up a new port once in a while when repeating an area of the world. And revisiting favorite areas, but seeing something else while in port.

We've managed to cross a few off of our list:

Alaska

Australia / NZ - circumnavigation

Panama Canal - Ft. Lauderdale to San Diego

Great Britain / Northern TA via Norway and Iceland ending in NY

Upcoming next year:

Mediterranean / Southern TA ending in Ft. Lauderdale. This one had to include a port with a tour to Pompeii.

After that would like to go to:

Northern East coast for fall color - we don't get that here in El Paso

Maybe another Alaska cruise

Hawaii

Most of the places on bucket lists I had already visited before a bucket list became popular. I wanted to visit Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bali, and I did - but not on cruises. I wanted to ride the Orient Express, the trans Siberian Railroad, and walk the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela. Sadly, I realize I will never be able to do the latter, the Orient Express isn't what it used to be, and the Trans Siberian was just a dream, much too arduous. Curiously, I am much more widely traveled than my sister, but she is the one that has traveled on a Russian railroad, Moscow to Saratov (overnight). There are many places I would like to show my sister, but they would be land trips - India, Nepal, Morocco, Mongolia.

When I first got really serious about world travel, I had three criteria for places to visit: They don't have the same alphabet, don't use the same kind of toilet, and you can't drink the water. That's why Australia and New Zealand have never been on my list. EM

I really want to do a cruise to Antartica but none of my family members are up for it. :( Guess I'll have to wait a while before I can cross that off my bucket list!

Go without them. You'll never regret it.

I have wanted to do the pilgrimage from Paris to Compostela since I was in High School. I would like to do it on horseback, but tours are much more likely to feature bikes.

I do have a few cruises on my must do list:

circumnavigate South America (especially if I can do a stop over at Antarctica)

World Cruise - Or really any long haul cruise. I love the idea of living on a boat for several months at a time, visiting new places and seeing new things.
