Have really enjoyed many of your other reports--as I am a morning person, thanks to you I've gotten to see first hand what goes on after 10 p.m. that I am missing :D

Don't really need the shopping guides... Just Day 1-7 of the Compass so we can kind of plan our activities a little bit ahead of time!

DAY -3

 

The last day of work - one of the most underrated moments of every trip. To me, vacation begins the second I leave work for the last time. I mine as well throw on a New Years Eve party hat with year 2000 glasses and drink champagne on my drive home. However I prefer to not spend my next week locked up with a roomie nicknamed “Bonecrusher” so I'll skip the bubbly while hydroplaning home.

 

It’s a shame I’m so responsible. I really need to get a 2nd wearing out of these glasses.

Alright, I’m all packed and now it's time to play “try to sleep the night before vacation”. Trying to sleep will just not work for a hyper spaz like myself. What usually happens is I toss and turn, stare at the ceiling, analyze the grooves on my elbow and study the back of my hand for a solid two hours before I give up and fire up the iPad and read Cruise Critic until the wee hours of the morning. If I get two hours of shut-eye I’ll consider it a victory.

 

I think I packed enough Islanders t-shirts for the week. I'm still debating which one is most suitable for formal night. The black one on the bottom probably makes the most sense.

DAY -2

Five hours of sleep! I asked for two and I got five. I feel like the luckiest man alive and I now know what a bear feels like after hibernating for the winter.

 

We arrived at the airport early and had time to grab breakfast. On the menu was something I had never heard of before - Prime Rib Hash. It was absolutely mandatory that I sample this at least once in my life so I figured why not September 3, 2015?

While waiting for our flight to Orlando I was reading a fascinating story about an eight-foot king cobra on the loose in oh yeah, Orlando. Wonderful. I was fully expecting Cody the Cobra to be coiled up in the glove compartment of my rent-a-car, anxiously waiting to scare the Prime Rib Hash out of me.

Ok, so here is my one and only travel tip that I'll offer up - If you are ever at LaGuardia Airport and craving a Bloody Mary, do not, I repeat, do not order one until you are on your plane. They are absolutely atrocious at LGA. How bad? Picture 2 parts expired ketchup with 1 part used motor oil. Add some dandruff from a homeless guy as garnish and you'll have an idea of just how horrific they are.

 

Thankfully United Airlines has delicious Bloody Marys along with my favorite vodka, Tito's (that's your one free plug Senor Tito).

I didn't lie before when I said that dinner on Thursday was at Squid Lips in Sebastian, FL. Here are those aforementioned cajun bacon wrapped scallops followed by some other food porn.

Maureen's avatar cat could have smoked that 8' cobra hiding in your rental car. Sounds like you two might have to travel together. Not to mention the cruise reviews will have me laughing so hard I'd feel constricted. ;)

Oh yes, the Brady news was everywhere. And yes let's cruise together! Get JohnGaltny and SailorJack too and we'll all do reviews.

Andrew, I think your furry little friend may have had to fight off some king cobras during her 3-week adventure on her own.
