Room Service $$

Overnight, I think 11pm to 6am (not sure of the hours exactly) unless in a Concierge or better cabin. Other times still complimentary.

Also, all classes do have some "for fee" items on the menu, but there is still extensive complimentary items. For fee tends to be like steak and eggs, or filet for dinner.

Also, drink packages do not apply for room service, so free options are limited to juices, coffee and teas. Want coke, its bills, alcohol, it's billed.

Is there a charge now for room service??

Celebrity currently offers complimentary room service 24 hours a day.

On all sailings beginning on or after 10/01/15, a late night room service fee will be added. Orders between 11 PM and 6 AM will be charged a $4.95 per room service fee.

For our Suite Class guests, the late-night room service charge is waived.

Today is 11/19/15, after the 10/1 date mentioned in your post. Is there currently a charge?

I sort of doubt that late night charge will affect too many.

Well, maybe those that like really early coffee without needing to get dressed to go to the buffet. I guess I get that.

Might be seeing folks in their robes headed to the buffet for that coffee at 5:30.

It says on the website Concierge and above, and this reply says Suites. Which is correct?

I have a December cruise coming up in CC and I like to order late night pizza after a trip to the casino. Am I going to have to print out the page and try and dispute charges? Not how I want to spend my vacation.

Where on website does it still say this? I could only find this (I know it used to be concierge and better so I was looking...)

24-hour in-stateroom dining

Perhaps a day of kayaking, shopping or golfing has you feeling pleasantly languid. Or, was it the afternoon spent relaxing with a novel that has you so serene? Either way, when you're in the mood to relax and dine in the comfort of your stateroom, Celebrity offers 24-hour in-stateroom dining. The service is complimentary, except when ordered between 11 PM and 6 AM when there is a $4.95 fee per room service order. For Suite guests, it’s complimentary 24 hours a day.

On the Concierge class page, it says 24 hour room service, nothing about "complimentary" listed there.

Sounds like a stealth nerf to me!

we were in an oceanview on our last cruise. Most of the menu for room service was no charge, but the nicer items - steak, fish, etc. had a price of $18 - $20 per item. pizza, club sandwich, dessert, were free. My understanding is that the higher the cabin, the menu is larger. Our choice was limited.

May be "Pay Per Flush".....

We seem to have gotten way off track here. Guess I would ask how many have ordered room service after 11pm? Would think not very many. Sure seems there is enough to eat before 11pm that everyone could not be hungry or thirsty until 6am the next morning.

There is a bigger question here - everyone wants ever cheaper fares for cruising. OK? We also realize costs continue to rise for the cruise line for ship maintenance, staff etc. OK still? We want a smiling cabin attendant and waiter and other staff for our holiday. OK?

Then the question is do we want a higher fare that is more inclusive like Azamara OR do we want low fares with a fee for some of the extras?

Slightly off topic but After 11pm is there any other place onboard where food is available?

If you pay the fee is it possible after hours to get food delivered elsewhere on the ship? Thinking out on a pool deck, lawn, public spaces etc?

Buffet has "late night selections" usually pasta bar, chinese stirfry, and cheese and lunchmeats and sweets usually to midnight, pizza usually goes to 1am.

I would think they would deliver anyplace you would ask, given notice, never tried it though.
