As reported by Crew News, the Oosterdam had to skip Half Moon Cay today because of poor tender conditions. (wind and higher seas.)

Do they dock a bit earlier at Port Everglades or just go slow?

Smart 4-2

Whenever we have missed HMC on the last full day, we have just gone slower as the workers will not be on duty to tie up the ship unless there is an emergency.

And that happened to us fall of 2014 on the Noordam. We had a couple of medical emergencies and the ship had to get back to Ft Lauderdale by midnight. We were all told that no one else but the medical emergency people would be allowed off the ship. There was a skeleton crew to tie off the ship and 2 ambulances waiting for the ill passengers.

Probably just go slow and add a circle. That's what we did when we missed Half Moon Cay a few years ago.

They just drive back a little slower. They will pick up their Pilate about 5:45 am and will begin docking about 6:30 AM

Does every ship have a Pilate? I know there is a godmother! LOL

Does the Pilate judge the evening dress code?

Probably a no on the tugs. It's fairly rare that they assist cruise ships. They've been busy this week though. The winds are actually down a bit today.

Just clouds today, maybe some improvement in weather.

It's much nicer than it looks on the webcam. If you could aim the camera up, it'd be blue skies. The camera shoots outward, so you see more of the clouds on a day like today.
