Platinum Gift confirmation

Wish they would let us pick from a list so we get something we can use

yes, that would be nice, but......I would bet that they would just discontinue giving the platinum gift before they would do that. Better yet, why not gift OBC so we could spend it on whatever we want. Apply it to tips, get drinks, or use it in the casino or shops, towards excursions, whatever.

You know I agree never be unappreciative about a gift. BUT this really isn't a gift per se it's comes with a price tag you need to be platinum or diamond to get this I see it as a benefit for platinum and diamond guests , same as a benefit for having status with an airline and getting upgrades etc I would like something nicer I agree that is ugly but nothing much we can do I guess

Would guess they only pay a couple of bucks for most of these gifts so doubt they would give us coupons for drinks or anything like that but would prefer it.

a few cups of coffee and dessert from specialty coffee shop would be great

I can only imagine how hot those things are in the Caribbean. I am going to be pretty disappointed if that is my first Platinum gift. What The Freak were they thinking?!

They got a very good price?

For years was picture frame and many people had them by dozens. After about 6 we would just give them to new friends on the cruise.

Has to be the price. I would rather have a dozen of the old Carnival pens than that. At least the picture frame is a good idea the first time around. I can see where if you cruise a lot, then yeah, half a dozen of them could be a little much. But these hot, rubber visors? In the Caribbean? Come on. I don't think there is one adult that will think it's a good idea. I can always find a kid to give it to I'm sure.

So after our B2B we would have 4  of these....uh NO. Would rather take them to the kids club and give them away! I'll do anything...pens, journals, backpacks, packing cubes, frames, toiletry bags, thermos, beach bags, or lovely Tervis cups!! Who at the Beards meeting says...let's do Croc... Need to be let go. Period. You either do Croc or you don't.

You're assuming any kid would wear one!

We have Carnival visors and baseball cap. And we don't wear them. So, it's regift time.

Here is an idea; since gold card holders feel like they got robbed by not being invited to the Return Cruiser Party, give your Croc Visor to one of them. Then they can walk around the ship and pretend their a Palatinum Member, at the same time they will realize that their not missing much by not reaching the Platinum level.

They could also wear the visor and try to crash the Return Cruiser Party.

I like your list. Simple things that are practicable. Nothing over expense, but nice branded merchandise that tells a customer that the company appreciates the loyalty.
