OceanDreaming2 Posted October 23, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2016 You can ask for bar soap if you prefer that over the gel.
kenzie Posted October 23, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted October 23, 2016 It was shower gel I was interested in - shoes, just took one pair out so only bringing 7 pairs now = but that does include my flipflops- I being good this cruise!
SuiteTraveler Posted October 23, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Take out at least 3 - 4 of the 7 pairs of shoes. You will only need: 1. flip flops 2. athletic shoes (only if you go to the gym or are going zip lining or doing other athletic type tour) 3. sandals that can be dressy or not - if you have Yellow box flip flops, you won't need sandals at all. 4. water shoes (only if you are going to the beach) Keep it as simple as possible. Remember on NCL you don't need any formal clothes at all! This will save you a ton of space in your luggage!
Nebr.cruiser Posted October 23, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Are the shampoo and conditioner separate? I hate shampoo/conditioner combos. I don't like shower gel so will probably bring a small bar of soap from home.
hawkeyetlse Posted October 23, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Are the shampoo and conditioner separate? I hate shampoo/conditioner combos. It's either plain shampoo or conditioning shampoo, no separate conditioner (at least not in the cheap cabins). Barb Nahoumi Posted October 25, 2016 #12 Share Posted October 25, 2016 What are yellow box flip flops? Yellow Box is a brand name of flip flops. I never heard of it until now, so I googled it.

edawn Posted October 25, 2016 #14 Share Posted October 25, 2016 What are yellow box flip flops? I googled them. They look like blingified shower shoes to me and cost $35 on clearance. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
grouchomarx Posted October 25, 2016 #15 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I love that the OP asked about shower gel but got advice on what shoes to pack. Only on CC!
Blondie008 Posted October 25, 2016 #16 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Sod the body wash - can use theirs or buy some on board - shoes are the priority!! Absolutely!!
mugtech Posted October 25, 2016 #17 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I love that the OP asked about shower gel but got advice on what shoes to pack. Only on CC! OP opened the door by saying one less bottle means one more pair of shoes. Expect folks to take advantage of any openings. :D
tarheelmjfan Posted October 25, 2016 #18 Share Posted October 25, 2016 (edited) Since we're giving packing advice, I think you should purchase your toiletries at the embarkation port or onboard. That leaves even more room for clothes & shoes. :D Edited October 25, 2016 by tarheelmjfan

Rare BirdTravels Posted October 26, 2016 #20 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Most ships are also giving out soap bars. Started with the Escape last November. But we have seen it on five different cruises since. Nothing fancy, just a bar of lemongrass scented soap.
DMH15 Posted October 26, 2016 #21 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Ok. From what I recall regular cabins have a shower gel that smells manly and a cheap shampoo/conditioner. Buy some premium brand travel sizes you like and pack them in ziplocks in your shoes. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
