Bizmark'sMom Posted July 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2017 Typically, no. While the flu vaccine is a good idea if you have any chronic health issues, it is not required.
Grandma Dazzles Posted July 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2017 Do you have to have the flu vaccine? If you mean to cruise, no. The best person to ask about any vaccines is your personal doctor, not on a public forum. Your own doctor can advise whether they would suggest a flu shot given your medical needs/history. OCruisers Posted July 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2017 We never taken a cruise where the flu vaccine was required ... BUT we always get flu shots anyway as we would cruising or not. :)

zqvol Posted July 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2017 Not required to cruise, but unless you personal physician says not to get that one it is recommended by the USPHS.
6rugrats Posted July 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2017 NO vaccines are required to cruise. Well, certain vaccines are required to enter some countries, so if you are visiting that country on a cruise, they are required.

easyboy Posted July 21, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2017 I have a regular flu vaccine with my physician. It is for the season, but have not done it for a cruise.
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 21, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 21, 2017 As someone recommended do check with your doctor not because it is required to cruise (it is not) but to see if you fall in the age group where it is recommended. It's a good opportunity to also check to be sure all of your other vaccinations are up to date. Keith
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Well, certain vaccines are required to enter some countries, so if you are visiting that country on a cruise, they are required. Absolutely. Yellow Fever comes to mind for selected countries. Keith
