Ship at 18 knots on a 185 deg heading, sea state is large waves at 12.5 ft. but light wind, dinner in Manhattan MDR so felt a little sway, not bad at all. She is in great shape to handle this storm.

 

Use 1 of 2 Platinum 30 minutes plan first for a trial run, used about 15 minutes at 15 MB's worth.

 

Dinner menu w pictures shortly. Tonite, I like crab cakes & prime ribs, service is good.

 

Platinum tour is 10 AM, so it will be a problem w CC's Meet & Mingle.

Hey MKing - how is it going? I was travelling last week so not on CC and thought you had already gone on your trip last week.

 

This will be exciting to see your reports this week but don't spend too much time here rather with your family and friends.

 

Looks like you got the upgrade to a balcony!

 

As far as kids shows on the limited NCL tv, from past experience it seemed they had one channel with kids shows during the a.m. then it switched to other programming later in the day.

Good morning, CC ... hi, dexddd - yes, got a cheap upgrade to a BD, good location. WiFi is okay, fast enough for upload.

 

Here's the Atlantic ... not bad, still large waves now at 15 ft. Instead of 12, a bumpy night for sleeping, usual noises from the cabin squeaking. Late night buffet was quiet when I went to get some munchies.

 

Today, sleeping late so late breakfast next, then it's BTS tour and Meet & Mingle, or skip one. Will see.

 

Here's that sofa bed w cushion taken that someone asked a while ago, 4th bed up in ceiling.

No USB charging ports with the bedside lamp.

 

Our views. Windy @ 23 and temp around 50 deg F. More later.

Just off the Breakaway yesterday....we were off to a late start due to the coastguard inspection....:o

 

Did you end up getting the unlimited wifi package? I was pretty disappointed to find out that even though they say 30 min or 100 min...it's actually done in mb's....we had 130 min of free wifi....and it was hardly anything....the first time I logged on just to download emails (4 min)...was okay....then my husband did the same....and he must have had a ton of stuff running on his phone because in 10 min he ate up 1/3 of our data....THEN the internet manager handed him a flyer about what stuff to turn off to avoid that happening....so, be sure to do that BEFORE logging onto your free wifi....

First stop, Mrs. M got a little extra. While I was getting ready to join M&M with a great turnout. Raffles was fun, excel organizing by Tralfie - Richard.

 

Now, teasers - Ceaser Salad w. Salmon, Potato Skin w crab salad. Sea is quite calm, no rocking.

Thanks, Snowrose. Our post Sandy storm sailing the Gem was 30-35 ft. plus in Gale force cross wind. Last night was nothing. All 3 MDR menu served and use the same menu nightly, no daily specials.

 

Beats sleeping on the floor or in the bath, right Dexddd. Extra beddings in the big drawer below too.

 

My Philly cheese was good, fries were cold. That dessert was cold, Mrs and I shared it, weight watching.

 

Hitting duty-free shopping early for her cosmetics. Cartoons of Marlboro, 2 for $72 or $4 for $128, not that we smoke - gifts for others.

 

Doing LeBistro on Wed. & 5 of us doing Moderno, which we're never done. Going to scout out that Margaritaville, breakfast till 10:30 free but lunch isn't, $14.99 p/p +18%.

when i view excursions for my cruise on sunday, it shows the discounted price of $139. i think Atlantis is a cheaper this time of year because it might be considered "off season" for them due to the winter/fall months

No social media package available, period. Manager has no idea of ...

 

Ceiling outlet in bath is both 110 and 220 volts. Need more outlets, look down here and what's behind the panel. Packing cubes, perfect there.
